Fujifilm this week dropped the price of the FinePix S700 compact camera to $229.95. Reduced from the original $249.95, the FinePix S700 with 10x optical zoom lens now comes at a discount of $20.

Sept. 5, 2007* – Fujifilm this week dropped the price of the FinePix S700 compact camera to $229.95. The FinePix S700 with a 10x optical zoom lens has been discounted $20 from its original $249.95 price.
"Ideal for families seeking to kick it up a notch with a more advanced, compact SLR-style digital camera without losing operational simplicity, the FinePix S700 is feature-packed, yet affordable and easy to use," states the Fujifilm website.
Fuji announced the S700 in February. The FinePix camera has a 7.1-megapixel CCD sensor, 14 shooting modes, and accepts xD and SD media.
