Fujifilm Lowers Price of FinePix F50fd

Fujifilm yesterday announced a $20 price reduction for the 12-megapixel FinePix F50fd. The price drop lowers the $299.99 retail price to $279.99.

Dec. 5, 2007 – Fujifilm yesterday announced a $20 price reduction for the 12-megapixel FinePix F50*fd*. The price drop lowers the $299.99 retail price to $279.99.

The F50fd features a 3x optical zoom lens, Fujifilm’s Dual Image Stabilization, and a 2.7-inch LCD with 230,000-pixel resolution. Updated face detection technology recognizes multiple faces, even when they’re not directly facing the camera.

Along with 11 Scene modes, the F50*fd *offers automatic red-eye removal, wireless image transfer, a variety of manual controls, and a high sensitivity setting of ISO 6400 at 3-megapixels. Movies can be recorded with sound at 640 x 480 resolution at 25 frames per second, but zoom is disabled.

The camera runs on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and accepts xD/SD/SD-HC media.
