The newly announced Gitzo Series 5 Traveler Monopod claims to be the "World’s first monopod, dedicated to sport photographers". On folding. the monopod measures only 41cm extending to an eye-level 153.5cm when fully extended. It has a maximum load capacity of 25Kg , weighs around 780grams and one can also order a 2008 Olympics special edition.
