*July 17, 2006 – *Hasselblad recently introduced a software update, Flexcolor version 4.6, for their digital backs and scanners.

The Windows and Mac-compatible software update offers new features to all Hasselblad digital backs, including single shot interpolation, new contrast control, and natural color options, according to the Hasselblad website. For CF camera backs, Flexcolor 4.6 features a new noise filter and now supports 3FR files. The update can also support 39MP and 16MP camera backs.

Hasselblad also updated their website earlier this month by posting original camera back and lens manuals as PDF files. The manuals include Hasselblad’s more popular products including the CFV digital back and XPan 5.6/30 lens.

"The aim of this collection is to help Hasselblad users around the world to carry on the fine and well-established tradition of creating supreme Hasselblad imagery, regardless of the model," stated Hasselblad’s July press release. So far, only English manuals are available. More language versions will be offered later, according to the Hasselblad website.

Known for their medium and large formats camera backs, Hasselblad has been in business for over 50 years. The company celebrated the 100th anniversary of founder Victor Hasselblad last month.

Flexcolor 4.6 and the Hasselblad manuals are available for download at http://www.hasselblad.se/ and https://www.imacondb.dk/login2.php.
