August 18, 2006 –* Hewlett-Packard Co. announced a 5 percent net revenue increase year-over-year in the company’s third quarter results released on Wednesday.

With the quarter ending July 31, HP reported $21.9 billion in net revenue. "HP delivered another solid quarter with strong revenue growth, improved margins and healthy cash flow," said HP CEO and President Mark Hurd in the press release.

HP’s overall revenue transferred over to its Imaging and Printing Division which also reported a 5 percent increase over the third quarter in 2005. Consumer hardware revenue, however, fell by 3 percent year-over-year. The bulk of the Imaging and Printing revenue came from HP’s business MFP printers, up 196 percent.
