Cologne, Germany, September 30, 2006 –* Kingston Technology Company, Inc. announced its 4GB Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Class 2 memory card the current Photokina exhibition in Germany. The SDHC 4GB card retails for $199 and is available now.

"Although identical in size to today’s standard SD card, SDHC cards can handle the tremendous levels of data that today’s digital cameras and MP3 players are capable of delivering," said Keyla Velazquez Kingston Digital Media/Flash Memory product manager, in the Kingston release.

Kingston, the world’s largest independent manufacturer of memory products, according to the release, will brand the new 4GB SDHC cards in accordance with the new universal SD Card Association standard, as opposed to manufacturer-specific standards. As a result, the new cards will comply with the SD Card Association Class 2 specifications.

The 4GB card measures 0.94 x 1.25 x 0.08 inches and carries a lifetime warranty.
