The EasyShare C340 incorporates a Kodak Color Science Chip with its 5.1-megapixel CCD to create clear pictures. The camera also includes a 3x optical Kodak Retinar zoom lens that has an additional 5x digital zoom. The all-purpose camera has 13 scene and 3 color modes. It also has a Programmed AE mode, where users can manually select the ISO speed, exposure metering, and focus zones. The C340 also has a burst mode that shoots 3 frames per second for up to 3 shots.
When in playback mode, images can be displayed on the 1.6-inch LCD screen in several ways: Fast Scroll, Zoom, Slide Show, and Multi-up. Users can also choose to protect the photo or store it in the Favorites album. Pictures are automatically rotated and can be cropped within the camera. Movie clips can also be played back within the C340. The 20-frame-per-second movie mode records audio as well. Pictures and movies can be saved to either the 16 MB of internal memory or the optional SD/ MMC card. The 5.1-ounce EasyShare C340 will be available in May 2005 for $249.95.
Both cameras are compatible with PictBridge and ImageLink direct printing systems. They are also compatible with the Kodak EasyShare printer dock series 3, and can easily access it with their Kodak Share buttons.
