July 30, 2007 - Leica has announced a firmware update for the M8. Version 1.107 includes improved processing speed and image signal processing, which results in better image quality and high ISO processing.

The update's internal modifications have been improved to provide a safer production process, according to Leica.

The update is transferred to the M8 via memory card. Complete installation instructions and the M8 firmware update are available on Leica's website.
