June 18, 2007* – Leica has announced a new firmware update for the Digilux 3 digital camera. Firmware version 2.0 is now available for download from Leica’s Web site. The update includes an optical image stabilization mode for panning and the ability to adjust camera settings with both the cursor buttons and dial.

Version 2.0 includes a third OIS mode for image stabilization during panning and allows for easy aperture value setting when the user attaches a lens without an aperture ring. Additionally, white balance, color temperature, ISO-speed, and the flash mode can now be set with both the main dial and the cursor buttons.
