Las Vegas, Nevada, March 7, 2007 *– With purchases of select Lexar Professional, Platinum II, and Standard line of CF and SD memory cards, users will soon be able to download free software of Corel Paint Shop ProX, Corel Snapfire Plus SE, Lexard Image Rescue 3, and Lexar Backup n Sync. Users can downloading the free software using their Lexar memory serial numbers, starting next month.
"We have provided a unique and comprehensive software suite that is intended to complement select Lexar flash card products while enhancing their value," said Lexar Senior Product Marketing Manager John Santoro in a company press release today.
With purchases of select Lexar media, customers will gain access to the photo illustration program Corel Paint Shop ProX and photo manager Corel Snapfire Plus SE at no additional cost beyond the original memory card purchase.
The software suite will also include the image recovery program, Lexar Image Rescue 3, for when users accidentally format their memory cards and need to retrieve the photos.
The Lexar software suite comes with a new Lexar Backup n Sync program that can automatically upload and backup images to their desktop and online server, using the photo syncing technology of Sharpcast. Lexar Backup n Sync offers 100MB of free space on the online server. For additional space, users can opt to pay a $5.99 monthly fee for unlimited online storage. The monthly fee also includes Sharpcast’s additional features such as live Photo Chat and Group Albums. Users can find out more about Lexar Backup n Sync at www.sharpcast.com/lexar.
