March 19, 2007 – Mac released an updated version,10.4.9, for OS X Tiger operating systems last week. For users who are currently running versions Mac 10.4.0 to 10.4.7, Apple recommended updating software for added RAW support, among other features.
With support for PowerPC and Intel-based Macs, the Mac OS X update 10.4.9 promises to handle large files to prevent crashes. Among other improvements are font handling features, iChat USB video conferencing, and synchronization for contacts, bookmarks, and calendar to mobile devices. The new version also has added security with login authentication and time zone updates for daylight savings time.
