*June 26, 2006 – *BitShelter, LLC announced on Friday that Major League Baseball (MLB) selected workflow management website, PhotoShelter, as its online photo archive and distribution system.

PhotoShelter's Multiple User (MU) product, the 'disaster-proof image archiving solution,' as PhotoShelter calls it, provides a single, systemic online archive for multiple users around the world on deadline.

Major League Baseball first used PhotoShelter at the World Baseball Classic in March. 'MLB Photos was faced with the challenge of moving thousands of images from our contributing photographers to multiple clients simultaneously,' says MLB Picture Editor Paul Cunningham. PhotoShelter enabled the photo editors and contributing photographers to coordinate and manage the workload, according to Friday's PhotoShelter press release.

PhotoShelter is the first product from BitShelter, LLC, founded in 2005.
