September 7, 2005 – Last week, Nikon quietly released firmware updates for their Coolpix 7900 and Coolpix 5900 digital point-and-shoots. The update, version 1.2, released for both Windows and Mac, corrects issues that caused images to record too slowly when the date imprint feature had any option other than ‘off’ selected. The update also addresses errors in Korean menus as well as errors in Spanish, French, and Italian text.
