October 6, 2006* – Nikon released firmware Windows and Mac updates for the D2X version 2.0.0 and a Windows update for the D2Hs version 2.0.0 on Tuesday.

Among other new features, the firmware for the D2X adds new ISO settings, a black-and-white option in color shooting mode, and a trim feature in the shooting menu, according to the Nikon support webpage.

The D2Hs v 2.0.0 has advanced AF tracking, more options for tone curves to be downloaded in the custom menu, and added GPS latitude and longitude data in the playback photo information.

Last month, Nikon also released a D200 firmware update and software updates. The D200 firmware version 2.0.0 for Windows and Mac adds image authentication in the setup menu and wireless transmitter option when a WT-3 transmitter is used with the camera.
