March 7, 2005 – Olympus announced spring savings for its EVOLT E-300 and E series of digital lenses and accessories. From now until March 31 (just over 3 weeks), consumers can buy the 8-megapixel Olympus E-300 and two Zuiko lenses for under a thousand dollars with the released rebates. Buyers can print the rebates for the E-series digital series products and the C-7000 at olympusamerica.com/rebates.

The $100 rebate goes toward any package that includes the Olympus EVOLT E-300, including the one lens kit and two kit lens bundles, as well as the body only option. The one lens kit includes the Zuiko 14-45mm f/3.5-f/5.6 lens. The two lens kit adds a Zuiko 40-150mm f/3.5-f/4.5. These must be purchased by March 31 and the rebates postmarked by April 30.

There are also rebates for the Olympus E-1 kits. The 4.9-megapixel E-1 digital single lens reflex camera body comes with $100 rebate when purchased with the 14-54mm f/2.8-f/3.5 lens. When that kit comes with a SHLD-2 battery charger, a $200 rebate is available for photographers. These rebates are good for purchases made from March 1 to June 30.

Olympus E-series fans can also take advantage of the savings on various lenses and accessories that are compatible with both the E-1 and E-300. The Zuiko 7-14mm f/4.0 lens comes with a $125, the 11-22mm f/2.8-f/3.5 gets $50 off, the 50-200mm f/2.8-f.3.5 lens scores a $100 rebate, the Zuiko 50mm f/2.0 lens takes $50 off, the 150mm f/2.0 lens has a $200 rebate, and the Zuiko 300mm f/2.8 lens comes with a large $700 rebate. All Zuiko lenses are designed specifically for digital cameras and come with the Supersonic Wave Filter that vibrates 350,000 times a second to keep dust off the CCD and imaging processor.

Olympus has also extended the offer to accessories, providing a $50 rebate for the FL-50 flash accessory and a $10 rebate for the HLD-3 power battery holder (for the E-300 only). The HLD-3 can hold 2 batteries and has a shutter release button at its base for comfortable vertical shooting.

From now until April 1, consumers can get $100 off their purchase of the Olympus C-7000. The 7-megapixel digital camera is a point-and-shoot model with a 5x optical zoom lens that is selling for about $500 right now.
