If you planning to buy Olympus gear in the near future we advise you do it before April 1st 2008. In a letter sent to UK dealers including the website Amateur Photographer, Olympus is contemplating to increase the price of digital SLR lenses and accessories by around 15%.

Olympus's marketing general manager Mark Thackaray states: 'As you probably know, the Pound has depreciated significantly against the Euro in recent months.

'Whilst we are working hard at minimizing the impact on mainline product, adverse currency movement will affect all imaging and audio accessories including DSLR lenses and flashguns which are expected to rise by around 15%.'
