PC Mag reviews the Olympus E-3, which they feel can hold it own against giants like the Nikon D300 and Canon EOS 40D. The E-3 impresses with its comprehensive feature set and comes highly recommended from PC Mag.

When it comes to image quality, the E-3 doesn’t disappoint and the weatherproof, dustproof, and splash proof body is just the cherry on the topping.  However the ergonomics was found to be less than intuitive and accessing some basic features can be a little tiring.

"Although it can't quite match the Nikon D300 in image quality or feature set, I have no problem recommending the E-3 as a slightly less-expensive alternative in the semi-pro D-SLR category."
