Julia Silber from the website Pop Photo  is extremely impressed by the Pentax DA* 16-50mm f/2.8 SDM AF and highly recommends this lens. On reviewing the lens, Silber was quick to point out the superior construction and extra-tight weather and dust resistance body.

The fast lens produced sharp and accurate images the Pop Photo’s DxO Analyzer 2.0 tests found Visible barrel distortion at 16mm (0.60%), average performance for the class. However distortion improved at 35mm and 50mm. Overall the Pentax DA* 16-50mm f/2.8 SDM AF is ultra-smooth, accurate and highly recommended.
