The Sigma DP1, which is being hailed as the mother of all compact cameras was taken for a spin by the folks at Pop Photography. The DP1 is the only compact digital camera to utilize an APS-C size image sensor and according to the reviewer manages to "set a new standard for image quality in a compact camera".
While it does not have the fastest AF system however it makes up by producing stunning images. The fixed 28mm-equivalent f/4 lens also produced low distortion and minimal light fallow out which further enhanced the image quality.
