August 31, 2006 –* Digital camera back and software manufacturer Phase One announced today that buyers of SanDisk Extreme III CompactFlash memory cards will receive a free Capture One LE RAW workflow program.

All Extreme III CF cards will include a free, full version of Capture One LE, a program normally valued at $99. Extreme III memory cards range from $84.99 for 1 GB to $559.99 for an 8 GB card.

"By bundling two complementary and industry leading products, more photographers will be encouraged to take advantage of the benefits of RAW" said Capture One VP of sales and marketing Trine Voss in today’s Phase One press release.

Geared for professional photographers, the Windows and Mac-compatible software processes RAW files for post-capture editing. Phase One was the first manufacturer to be compliant with the full bandwidth SanDisk Extreme III cards, according to the release.

For users who want to upgrade to Capture One Pro, Extreme III buyers will receive a 15 percent discount for the program, paying $429 instead of $499 for the Pro version.

As the second joint-bundling venture, Phase One and SanDisk had previously released free Extreme III CF cards and USB readers with purchases of all P-Series digital backs.

The SanDisk-Capture One bundle package will be released immediately, according to the release.
