July 14, 2006 – Sanyo introduced yesterday two new digital cameras, the VPC-E7 and VPC-S7.  Although no official news has been released, Sanyo updated the company’s global website with the new products. Both the Sanyo VPC-E7 and VPC-S7 have the same features but have different power sources.  The 7.1 megapixel CCD cameras are fitted with a 3x optical zoom and 2.5 inch LCD.  The cameras are equipped with video capabilities (640 x 480) and compatible with 4G SDHC memory cards. The VPC-E7 takes lithium batteries, while the VPC-S7 takes AA batteries.   The VPC-E7 and the VPC-S7 cameras have the highest megapixel count out of the entire Sanyo digital camera line.  These cameras also have the most internal memory of 23 MB than the rest of their product line.   The cameras will be released in the fall and should be available in the U.S., according to Sanyo Europe Marketing Assistant Charlotte Baker.  "At the present time, there is no recommended retail price," Baker said.
