The Sony Alpha A700 DSLR was recently tested by stock photographer Peter K. Burian  for the website Shutterbug.  Burian calls the camera "powerful" and recommends it to even semiprofessional photographers. When compared to the A100, the A700 was found to be more rugged, more solid and much faster. The only thing found lacking on the A700 was a Live View mode and to read the full review head over here.
