August 1, 2006 – Sigma Corp. announced on Friday the Sigma EF-500 DG Super Pentax and EF-500 DG ST Pentax flashguns do not operate on Pentax’s newest DSLR, the K100.
"We regret any inconvenience this may cause our customers who own Pentax K100D D-SLR camera, and we will take necessary steps for not causing any problem to our valued customers," stated today’s press release.
The Sigma TTL automatic flashguns are compatible with select Sigma, Nikon, Canon, Sony, and Pentax models.
Customers with the Pentax K100 D will receive a "free upgrade service," according to the release.
