February 14, 2007* – Tamron Lenses announced last week a photo contest called "Make Your Mark: Photographing Natural or Manmade Landmarks Around the World." The contest name, which embodies most of the rules, offers entrants the chance to win a grand prize of a Tamron 18-200mm macro lens and to be featured on their website.

The Tamron contest is open to Tamron lens owners, both photo enthusiasts and professionals, residing in the United States. Entrants can enter photos of either natural or artificial landmarks, such as the Grand Canyon or the Eiffel Tower, captured with Tamron lenses. The photos can be color or black and white and submitted through postal mail or email in TIFF or JPEG files.

The grand prize is a Tamron AF 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II Asp. IF macro zoom lens. Twenty runner-ups will also be selected to be featured on Tamron’s Gallery webpage. Full rules for the Tamron Make Your Mark contest can be found at http://www.tamron.com/news/corp/photo_contest_2007.asp.
