September 11, 2006 – Viewfinder accessory company Zigview announced a new angled LCD attachment for SLRs, tagged the S2.

Compatible with most digital and film SLRs, according to the Zigview website, the Zigview S2 LCD accessory attaches to the camera eyecup for swiveling and rotating capabilities. Eliminating the guesswork in an above-the-crowd "Hail Mary" shot, users can view scenes with the S2 viewfinder.

Unlike its predecessor, the Zigview 360º Digital View Finder, the new 2.5-inch S2 LCD can be detached from the eyecup via a shutter release cable. The manual remote control fires in motion sensor mode and time delay mode.

The S2 viewfinder also has a TV output port for monitor connectivity.

The retail price of the Zigview S2 is £249.99 (equivalent to $465.20 USD). It is available online for preorder at, set for September availability in the UK and overseas.
