You can stream The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, and more on Disney+. The streaming service is available via internet connection in Canada and can be accessed from desktop browsers, mobile devices, game consoles, and more.

Disney+ is home to content from Marvel, as well as Walt Disney Studios films, Disney Channel original series, Pixar films and shorts, Star Wars films and series, and National Geographic titles. The platform is constantly releasing new content, such as The Mandalorian, Soul, upcoming series like Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and more.

Along with the bumper crop of family-oriented content, the service also recently added the Star hub, which includes content from ABC Signature, 20th Television, FX, Freeform, 20th Century Studios, Searchlight Pictures, Touchstone Pictures, and Hollywood Pictures and is aimed at more mature audiences. Star is essentially the international version of the U.S.-based Hulu streaming service, which Disney also owns. While the Star platform features over 500 movies and 150 TV series, certain heavy hitters from the Hulu platform like The Handmaids Tale and American Horror Story are currently absent due to existing licensing deals with other Canadian streaming services.

Who will wield the shield?

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is directed by Kari Skogland (The Punisher, The Handmaid’s Tale), and follows Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) in their sojourn into Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. At the end of Endgame, Captain America notably handed over his iconic shield to the Falcon, and in the First Look trailer, Sam can be seen throwing the shield. The six-episode series will follow Sam and Bucky in a post-Endgame world as they navigate Captain America’s legacy and fight to protect the world Cap left behind.

In the full-length trailer for the series, familiar faces such as Baron Helmut Zemo (Daniel Gruhl) appear, as well as new enemies. Other known elements include the return of Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter. The series will likely keep up with the precedent set by Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and occur in time with happenings in the MCU, so cameos and Easter eggs are likely to crop up as the series gets going.

Bucky and Sam have had a fun dynamic in past films, especially Avengers: Civil War, and the trailer offers a brief glimpse into their playfully antagonistic partnership. You can catch up on their history and the rest of the installments in the MCU on Disney+.
