Members-only gas prices that add up

Gas prices have stayed stubbornly high, and it doesn't feel like relief is coming anytime soon. That makes this one of the immediately useful Sam's Club auto perks: members get access to fuel stations with prices that are typically lower than what you'd find at nearby competing stations.

When we compared the prices ourselves, we found this difference to be about $0.30 lower (at least in our area)! Not only will this accumulate every time you fuel up, but it’s a relief knowing you have a place to fill up that’s a bit lower when prices are constantly swinging back and forth.

The tire center heats things up even more

The Sam’s Club Tire & Battery Center might be the single most underrated part of the Sam's Club auto lineup. Every member—Club or Plus—gets a set of free services just for having a membership:

• Free flat tire repair on any tire meeting USTMA guidelines, even if you didn't buy it at Sam's Club.
• Free car battery testing and free installation if you purchase a battery there.
• Free wiper blade installation with purchase.
• Lifetime tire rotations and flat repair when you buy and install tires at Sam's Club.
• Four years of 24-hour roadside assistance with any tire purchase (towing, jump starts, lockouts, and fuel delivery).

All of these are quite surprising. If you ever see that “low tire pressure” warning on your vehicle and worry that it could be more than a seasonal change, top it off at a gas station and head over to Sam’s Club to see if it needs a repair.

The same goes for your car battery. When you notice your car is having a harder time turning over, you don’t have to go and buy a new one right away. Take it to Sam’s Club, get a free test, and—only if it needs replacing—you can get one at a great price and have it installed free.
