Europe’s biggest tech show, IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin), is where the rest of the world’s innovations land before they show up in your house. This year, the show floor was louder and weirder than we’ve seen it in years, and we were on the ground to experience all of it.
We spent four days on the floor at Messe Berlin, putting our heads together over what deserved a Reviewed Award at IFA 2026 and what was overhyped. These are the products we chose for innovation, design, and real-world value.
Appliances
The dishwasher has always assumed you own the place. The Lissome R1 doesn't. It sits on the counter, fills from a tank, and cleans 34 items without asking for a plumber.
Lissome R1 Countertop Dishwasher
A countertop dishwasher is only as portable as its plumbing, and the R1 needs none. You pour water into the top, and if there's no drain nearby, it empties into a bucket. All it needs is an outlet, which makes it the rare dishwasher that works in a dorm, an RV, a bar, or a rental where the plumbing isn't yours to touch. At 280mm (11 inches) wide, it's narrower than most microwaves, and it still handles three place settings, roughly 34 items. Six wash modes are more than anyone needs, but the 15-minute quick cycle is the one that earns its place.

Haier Vision 15 Washing Machine
Washing machines have been full of sophisticated sensors for years, reading weight, balance, water level, and detergent needs. The Vision 15 adds something new for Haier: a camera inside the door. It identifies fabric type, flags mixed colors, tracks foam levels, and catches the stray item you didn't mean to wash, then adjusts the cycle in response. Sensors can tell a machine how heavy a load is. Only a camera can tell it what that load is actually made of, and fabric is the variable that should decide how a wash runs. Nine sensors and Haier's AI Direct Motion motor handle the mechanics from there. The habit-learning features are the least interesting part of this machine. The camera is why it won.

Haier Multi Care Laundry
Washing machine designs are becoming delightfully weird, and we're totally on board—especially when they improve functionality. The Haier Multi Care series comes in two seemingly familiar shapes, a laundry tower and a washer-dryer combo. However, both models add a pair of built-in mini-tubs, each of which is capable of a full wash-and-dry cycle. They’re perfect for running a single delicate sweater or a load of gym clothes while a standard-sized wash runs in the main drum. We saw a similar concept from Hisense earlier this year, but in that instance, the mini-washers were bolted on as separate, modular units. Haier’s approach of fully integrating the mini-tubs into the body is more practical. It also gives the washer an unmistakable Mickey Mouse appearance, which is simply charming.

Haier Maestro Refrigerator
Most product debuts at a trade show have one, maybe two, standout features. But what if a fridge had all the new features? The Haier Maestro is like the 1992 men’s basketball Dream Team of appliances. This French-door concept model is beautiful and capacious. The Nutribank drawer in the fridge extends the storage of meat and fish by up to 10 days. It also has a pair of cameras that use AI to track food inventory—hardly novel in 2026, but that’s just the start. Borrowing from commercial food-prep technologies, the Maestro has a drawer in the fridge portion called an AI Defrost zone that uses radio waves to defrost fully frozen food items in less than 30 minutes. That’s a first for a residential refrigerator. Also borrowed from commercial refrigeration: a shock freezer that drops down to -40°C (-40°F). Shock, or flash, freezing allows frozen produce to retain more nutrients than traditional freezing.

Hisense Hi 9 Series Wall Oven
Cameras inside ovens are not new. What's improving is the level of data that AI can derive from an image. The Hi 9 Series has upped the ante, using image analysis to estimate the weight of the food you just put in the oven. Maybe that’s not a necessary feature for experienced cooks, but for novices or those in a hurry, the auto-cook mode has always been the weak link in a smart oven. There’s a big difference in cook times between five ounces of fries and five pounds. A camera that recognizes the identity of the food but not the weight can ruin dinner. Pair the weight read with the humidity sensor, and the oven finally has enough to set a real time and temperature.

Hisense AI Laundry Station
Heat-pump dryers are the norm in Europe and are catching on in urban U.S. homes, because they use far less energy than a traditional vented dryer. The catch is that the efficiency dips over time as the condenser clogs with lint. Hisense's fix is to auto-wash the condenser using water from the wash cycle, a clever use of water the machine already has on hand. Easy maintenance and energy efficiency aren’t typically headline-grabbing features, but they make a real difference in the customer experience, and so we’re happy to award it.

LG Counter-Depth French-Door Refrigerator (GMBW31SAEV)
Large French-door refrigerators have long been an American staple, but they were too deep and too wide for most European kitchens. That’s changing as Europeans embrace larger sizes. LG's counter-depth GMBW31SAEV is the version that fits a smaller room: French-door capacity, but with a shallower footprint and, best of all, an A -10% energy rating. It has noticeably fewer bells and whistles than a lot of the appliances we’re awarding at IFA. But any fridge with that capacity that meets some of the toughest energy-efficiency standards in the world deserves the spotlight.

Miele G8 Diamond Dishwasher
The pinnacle of luxury dishwashing, and the first Miele to put a camera inside. AutoVision sees what items are on the dish racks (bottles, plates, plastics, pots, pans) and then creates custom wash cycles to optimize cleaning. The camera also allows you to set an auto-start time based on how full the dishwasher is. Should the washing start when it’s 80% full? 90%? At max capacity? You decide, and let the Miele handle the rest. The G8 also features automatic detergent dosing and the hot-air ExcellentDry system, with three levels of heated drying—sure to finally get that tricky plasticware dry. And of course, the whole dishwasher is gorgeous to look at, inside and out.

Samsung Anti-Scratch Induction Hob
Surface scratches are the bane of any induction cooktop owner. Slide a cast-iron pan across the glass a few hundred times and you’ll see them. If you can recall the Mohs scale of hardness from your high school science class, Samsung's glass is rated at Mohs hardness of 8, which puts it above quartz and well above the steel your pans are made of. That means the cookware should lose that fight. The cooktop also has a matte finish, which is a trending look in European kitchens right now. The Flex Zone Plus cooking areas and the detachable magnetic knob are not new, but both are welcome features.

Headphones & audio
Ninety hours of battery, a swappable battery, and earpads you can actually replace. Beyerdynamic built the Aventho Y like it expects you to keep it for years and years.
Beyerdynamic Aventho Y
Beyerdynamic's $149.99 Aventho Y offers flagship-level battery life at a midrange price. The company rates the headphones at up to 90 hours of playback, or 60 hours with active noise cancellation switched on—and says a 5-minute USB-C top-up gets you another 6 hours if you're in a rush. For context, the Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones, which cost more than double the price, top out at 30 hours with ANC (40 without).
What sets them apart is that Beyerdynamic built them to be repaired rather than replaced. The battery is user-swappable, and the magnetic earpads, aluminum sliders, and stainless steel hinges are all meant to be serviced rather than binned when they wear out. They come in Liquid Black, Blue Fusion, Soft Jade, and Peach Blush, with a 5-band EQ in the companion app, and Beyerdynamic is planning an optional low-latency dongle and boom mic pack for October aimed at gamers.

Anker Soundcore Space 2 Pro
The $200 Soundcore Space 2 Pro sits above the standard Space 2 in Anker's lineup, and most of the extra money goes toward noise cancellation. Anker dedicates eight microphones to adaptive ANC, which it claims is 1.5 times stronger than the Space One Pro. A six-microphone array, driven by Anker's Thus chip, handles voice isolation on calls.
Anker rates battery life at up to 60 hours of listening at 50% volume, or 30 hours with ANC on. The Space 2 Pro launches September 22, 2026, in the U.S., EU, and U.K., in gray, white, and black.

Anker Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Max
Anker has long made some of the best wireless earbuds for the price, but the Liberty 5 Pro Max starts to push into the same price range as the AirPods Pro. The $229.99 Liberty 5 Pro Max has a case with a 1.78-inch AMOLED touchscreen carrying around 20 on-device controls, plus an AI Note-Taker that records, transcribes, and summarizes conversations without pulling out your phone. Transcription is free for 120 minutes a month for the first 24 months, then requires a subscription. Whether you want your charging case doing that is a fair question, but if you do, it's now available.
The earbuds themselves are likely to be good too. They have 9.2mm wool-paper dynamic drivers with LDAC, Anker's Adaptive ANC 4.0 running on an eight-mic array, and Bluetooth 6.1 multipoint across three devices. Anker rates battery life at 12 hours per charge with ANC off (6.5 hours with it on) and up to 50 hours with the case, with ANC off (28 hours with ANC on). The buds are IP55-rated and come in Titanium-Gold and Black. They're available in the U.S., U.K., and Europe.

The Hisense 116UXS adds a fourth color primary, cyan, to its backlight, pushing color coverage beyond what any consumer TV has achieved before.
Hisense 116UXS RGB-C Mini-LED TV
Hisense's 116-inch TV adds a fourth cyan primary to its backlight, alongside red, green, and blue, targeting the 450–500nm range where the human eye is most sensitive to color. The result, according to Hisense, is 110% coverage of the BT.2020 color space, a wider gamut than any consumer TV has managed. Hisense rates the set at up to 10,000 nits peak brightness, with over 40,000 independent dimming zones keeping it under control, all in a panel that's just 39.9mm (1.6 inches) deep.
The built-in audio is a 6.2.2-channel system co-engineered with Devialet, with back-to-back subwoofers and room tuning. None of this comes cheap, of course. Hisense has confirmed €16,999 for Europe when the set launches in October, with U.S. pricing still unannounced.

Xgimi Aura 3 Series (Aura 3 Max & Aura 3 Pro)
Xgimi's Aura 3 projectors are ultra-short-throw, meaning they sit inches from the wall rather than across the room. They can throw a 120-inch image from about eight inches away, and scale from 80 to 200 inches. Both use an RGB triple-laser light engine rated for 20,000 hours, with anti-rainbow processing to tame the color flashes that plague single-chip projectors. Xgimi rates the Max at up to 5,700 ISO lumens and the Pro at 4,100 ISO lumens, and HDR support includes Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and IMAX Enhanced.
There are plenty of gaming features too. The projectors support native 4K at 120Hz with VRR, and input lag drops to 1ms at 1080p/240Hz. There's an 80W Harman Kardon sound system, Dolby Atmos, and Google TV with native Netflix. The projectors launch on Kickstarter on October 20, 2026, with early-bird pricing of $2,199 for the Pro and $2,399 for the Max.

Jmgo Iris Series (Iris Ultra Max & Iris Ultra)
Jmgo bills the Iris series as the first projectors to deliver end-to-end true 4K at 120Hz, using its MALC 6.0 triple-laser engine and an actuator that shifts the image 480 times per second to preserve full 4K detail at high refresh rates. The Ultra Max hits 6,500 ISO lumens, with the Ultra at 4,500.
The Max also gets a clever 3-in-1 optical system. Optical zoom, four-way lens shift, and an integrated AI gimbal with 360-degree pan mean you can point it at nearly any wall and let AI Screen Fitting square up the image, with position presets saved per wall. It has Google TV with native Netflix, and it's one of the first projectors with Dolby Vision at 4K/120Hz.

TCL C8L SQD-Mini LED TV
TCL's C8L series (sold as the QM8L in the U.S.) spans 55 to 98 inches and leans on what TCL calls SQD-Mini LED, its Super Quantum Dot backlight technology. The headline numbers on the 98-inch flagship are up to 4,032 local dimming zones and a rated peak brightness of 6,000 nits, paired with an anti-glare panel. TCL claims up to 100% BT.2020 color coverage, which would put it in rarefied company. It supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, with a game accelerator mode reaching 288Hz at reduced resolution.

Laptops, computing & gaming
At 560Hz, the Alienware AW2527HX is the fastest OLED gaming monitor ever made. And it finally fixes the text fringing that plagued earlier QD-OLEDs.

The AW2527HX is a 24.5-inch 1080p esports monitor with a 560Hz QD-OLED panel, the fastest OLED refresh rate on the market. It uses Samsung Display's fifth-generation Penta Tandem QD-OLED panel with an RGB-stripe subpixel layout, which fixes the color fringing on text that earlier QD-OLEDs were known for.
The monitor has DisplayHDR True Black 600 certification, up to 1,500 nits in HDR highlights, and 99% DCI-P3 coverage with factory calibration.

Lenovo Yoga Pro 9n
The Yoga Pro 9n is one of the first laptops built on Nvidia's RTX Spark superchip, which pairs a 20-core Arm-based Grace CPU with a Blackwell GPU carrying 6,144 CUDA cores. The interesting part is the memory. Up to 128GB of unified RAM is shared between CPU and GPU, which means the machine can run AI models of 120 billion parameters or more locally, something no conventional laptop with a discrete GPU can touch.
The rest is standard premium Lenovo. It has a 15.3-inch 2560×1600 OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, up to 4TB of storage, a 92.5Wh battery with a 140W USB-C charger, and Lenovo's X Power thermal architecture. It's due in fall 2026, with pricing to be confirmed—expect it to be steep.

Acer Swift Blade 14
At 799 grams (1.8 pounds), the Swift Blade 14 is built to be thin and light. It weighs about as much as a hardcover book, and it's as thin as 12.9mm (0.5 inches), or 13.5mm (0.53 inches) with the OLED panel. Acer achieved that with carbon-fiber and magnesium-aluminum alloys. It runs Intel's Core 7 350 (Wildcat Lake) chip with integrated graphics, so this is a productivity machine, not a workstation.
The display is the surprise at this weight. It's a 14-inch 3K OLED that runs at up to 90Hz and hits 400 nits peak brightness, and it ships with 12GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. Ports are reasonable for something this thin, with three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports.

Acer Vero 16
Acer’s Vero 16 is designed to outlast many of the components that make it up. The bottom panel opens with a tool-free latch, disassembly guides are laser-engraved inside the chassis, and the battery, M.2 SSD, hinge, and port covers are all user-swappable. Even more interesting is the modular mainboard, which Acer says will support two future generations of processor upgrades, performed at an Acer service center.
The laptop has Intel Core Ultra Series 3 chips up to the Core Ultra X9 388H, and the 16-inch 3K OLED display runs at up to 120Hz. The chassis mixes post-consumer recycled plastics with low-carbon aluminum and still meets MIL-STD-810H durability standards.

Asus ProArt P16
The ProArt P16 is the other big RTX Spark machine of the show, built on the same 20-core Grace CPU and Blackwell GPU combination as Lenovo's Yoga Pro 9n, with up to 128GB of unified memory. It has a CNC-machined aluminum chassis that's 14% thinner and 9% lighter than the outgoing P16, and the battery is a 99Wh cell, among the largest you can legally carry onto a plane.
The laptop has a 16-inch OLED touchscreen (up to 4K), and the haptic touchpad has Asus's DialPad built in for scrubbing through Adobe and DaVinci timelines. There's an SD Express 7.0 card reader, which is great for photographers.

Mobile & wearables
Dreame is better known for robot vacuums. Its first action camera weighs 2 ounces and shoots 8K, and that's before you snap on a single accessory.
Dreame Leaptic Cube
Dreame, best known for robot vacuums, has built a 55.9-gram (2-ounce) modular action camera that records up to 8K at 30fps, or 4K at 120fps for slow motion, through a 155-degree ultra-wide lens. The cube snaps magnetically onto power blocks, wearable clips, and a preview screen, in the same vein as Insta360's GO line but with considerably more resolution. On its own, it records for 110 minutes and is waterproof to 10 meters (33 feet) without a housing. The magnetic battery module stretches recording to 210 minutes, and a 19-minute charge gets the battery to 80%.
The camera has 64GB or 128GB of built-in storage, with Wi-Fi 6 and USB 3.1 for offloading footage. There's an AI night video mode, horizon lock stabilization, and voice control for hands-free operation.

Motorola Moto Watch Ultra
The $349.99 Moto Watch Ultra marks Motorola's return to Wear OS, offering Google's Wear OS 6 and Qualcomm's Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 processor. It's the company's first watch with standalone LTE via eSIM, so it works without your phone nearby. The 1.5-inch circular pOLED display sits under Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and hits a rated 2,700 nits outdoors, which is Apple Watch Ultra territory at half the price.
Motorola claims up to two days of active use from the 550mAh battery, and 15 minutes of charging gets you 24 hours. Health tracking runs on Polar's algorithms, including a running coach and cardio load analysis, and dual-frequency GPS handles phone-free route tracking. The stainless steel case has 5 ATM and IP68 ratings, so you can take it swimming.

RayNeo GT Series (GT and GT Max)
RayNeo's GT glasses are display glasses for watching content, not full AR, available now at a $299 launch price for the GT and $399 for the GT Max (regularly $329/$429). The Max projects the equivalent of a 267-inch virtual screen with a 59-degree field of view, while the standard GT manages 231 inches at 46 degrees.
Both use dual 1080p Micro-OLED panels at up to 120Hz with a 200,000:1 contrast ratio, and RayNeo claims the first Dolby Vision certification for consumer AR glasses, which is supported when the glasses are paired with the Pocket TV Pro. Audio comes from a quad-speaker system tuned by Bang & Olufsen.
There's no built-in diopter adjustment, so nearsighted users need custom prescription inserts from partner Lensology. The glasses work with any USB-C source that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode, as well as RayNeo's own Pocket TV Pro streaming controller.

Xiaomi 18 Fold
The Xiaomi 18 Fold is wider and shorter than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 and, unlike Samsung's device, has a triple-camera system. Inside is Xiaomi's own XRing O3 processor rather than a Qualcomm chip, paired with what Xiaomi says is the first LPDDR6 RAM in any phone. It has a 5.38-inch cover display that opens to a 7.58-inch LTPO OLED main screen with a 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate.
The battery should last a while too. There's a 6,000mAh dual-cell pack with 67W wired and 50W wireless charging. And the carbon-fiber teardrop hinge offers an IPX8 rating with a shallow crease.

Xreal Aura
The Xreal Aura is the first serious pair of Android XR glasses, built in direct collaboration with Google and Qualcomm. It runs on the Snapdragon Reality Elite platform with full 6DoF tracking, meaning the glasses track your position in space, not just where you're looking. Google Gemini is integrated natively for real-time visual understanding. The optics offer a 70-degree see-through field of view on custom Micro-OLED panels, which is wide for a glasses-style form factor, and it's controlled through eye tracking, hand gestures, and voice.
Because it's Android XR, the Aura gets the Play Store's spatial apps and Google Workspace tools out of the box rather than a bespoke app ecosystem. Xreal has capped the launch price at $1,500, with the final MSRP coming later, and a $99 reservation deposit becomes a $199 launch credit toward the final price.

Belkin UltraCharge Pro Slim Magnetic Power Bank 5K Qi2 15W with BoostSolid Cell
Belkin's $69.99 UltraCharge Pro Slim is one of the first consumer power banks built on semi-solid-state battery chemistry, which it brands BoostSolid Cell. The practical payoff is thickness. At 8.8mm (0.35 inches), it's dramatically slimmer than a conventional 5,000mAh lithium-ion pack, so it snaps onto the back of a MagSafe or Qi2 phone without turning it into a brick, and it charges wirelessly at 15W over Qi2 or up to 22.5W through the two-way USB-C port.
Belkin also claims the chemistry delivers up to three times the charge-cycle lifespan of standard lithium-ion, with better thermal stability.

Robots
Every robot vacuum brand quotes Pascals. Ecovacs switched to air watts, the harder number to fake, and did it voluntarily.
Ecovacs Deebot X12S OmniCyclone
At the last few IFA and CES trade shows, the favorite stat among robot vacuum brands has been "Pa." Short for Pascals, it's a unit of pressure, and the catch is how it's measured—with the vacuum's inlet completely blocked, so no air is moving at all. That tells you what the motor can strain against, not all the dirt and debris it can pull through. Air watts is the metric that accounts for both suction and airflow, and Dyson has been quoting it on uprights, stick vacs, and robots for years.
Since last year's IFA, Ecovacs switched from citing Pa only to including air watts. Where the X11 OmniCyclone was sold on 19,500Pa in 2025, this year's X12S leads with 53 air watts. Ecovacs volunteered the harder number, and from what we can tell, it's the only robot vacuum nominee in our categories to do so.
Dyson's 360 Vis Nav robot published 65AW in 2024 when it launched, and the brand's smallest stick vacuum is 55AW. Ecovacs' 53AW isn't a big figure in absolute terms, but from what we can tell, it's accurate and checkable—a rarity in this category.
The hardware backs it up. The OmniCyclone station is bagless, and instead of just emptying the robot, it pressure-washes the Ozmo Roller 3.0 mop with a 40,000Pa air pump—pressure being the right unit for a pressure washer—and spins a 6,000rpm propeller inside the robot's own dirty-water tank, the one part of these machines everybody forgets to clean, and everybody eventually smells. Redesigned inlet guide wheels improve the seal on carpet, and TruEdge 3.0 rides a 3D edge sensor into the corners.

Eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E35
Almost every robot vacuum claim asks consumers to take it on faith. But this year at IFA, Eufy is showing its work with the E35. It appears to be the first robot vacuum ever certified Asthma & Allergy Friendly, an independent program that puts a machine through a lab test and publishes its findings (we have Eufy’s certificate, and research turned up zero competitors). Here, that was up to 98% of dust-mite and cat allergens pulled out of carpet and 99.9% off hard floors. If you're buying a vacuum because of someone's asthma rather than because of a spec sheet, the E35 checks this box.
The allergy testing only covers vacuuming, not mopping, and the E35 is both a vacuum and a mop. To shore up its reputation in the wet game, the E35 has also earned a certificate from the German safety lab TÜV SÜD for killing 99.99% of germs—E. coli and staph among them. A third certificate confirms that suction won't fade over time, as no more than 3% of its cleaning power was lost over a year.
Straightforward functionality plus these certified perks make this vac-mop hybrid a solid investment, especially for pet owners.

Mammotion Luba 4 AWD
Mammotion introduces its flagship Luba series by going after a frustrating and common problem for robot mower owners—the scarred, bald arcs that can appear at the end of every row. In the bigger picture, Mammotion is prioritizing the lawn itself over tweaking automation that already works fine.
At the end of each pass, most robot mowers spin on the spot to line up the next row, and that skidding motion tears at the grass, enough so you can see it. Well, no more. The Luba 4's bidirectional driving reverses the machine back along the next line rather than pivoting, while independent front-wheel steering and a floating cutting deck keep the rest of each pass gentle and the cut even.
The navigation is thorough—four wide-angle AI cameras, 360° LiDAR, and network RTK, with no base station and no boundary wire—but in 2026 that's the cost of entry, and machines costing half as much match it.
We know the stack works, because the Luba 3 AWD is one of our picks for hills and slopes in our robot mower guide. Choosing to protect the lawn rather than just automate the chore is the part nobody else has prioritized.

Segway Navimow H510 Pro
Edging is the last thing robot mowers can't do, which is why four companies (Anthbot, Segway Navimow, Mova, and Sunseeker, for the curious) came to Berlin claiming to have fixed it. Ecovacs beat all of them to market with a built-in trimmer on the Goat Pro back in February.
We appreciate Segway's EdgeMaestro technology the most because it's practical. EdgeMaestro pushes the mower's cutting deck out by 7.4 centimeters (2.9 inches), allowing its single deck to do both jobs—cutting grass and edging. Fewer parts mean fewer points of failure, not to mention a more consistent cut across the lawn, because the same rotary blade does all the work. Alignment rods hold the deck parallel to the boundary, and a tapered rake pulls the grass growing flat against the wall up into the blade path.
Within the robot mower itself, dual-mode steering switches between zero-turn pivoting to spare the turf and car-style steering for maneuvering. LiDAR is an automotive-grade solid-state unit buried in the body rather than a spinning turret. We love that GeoSketch 2.0 renders your garden as a full-color 3D scene rather than a flat boundary line, so you never have to manually set up navigation.

Anthbot R7 Series
Like Segway, Anthbot addresses the robot lawnmower industry's edging conundrum, and its answer is the most literal one we're seeing on the show floor. The R7 Series' foldable arm swings a string trimmer out and works the boundary the way you would manually, aimed by a camera dedicated to that one job. Anthbot takes the opposite approach to Segway, trading the rougher finish of nylon line for the ability to get right up against walls and raised borders.
While the R7 Series' edging arm is cool, it's not the feature that earns it a Reviewed IFA Award this year. Instead, we appreciate that it can tackle a lot of lawn for its size. The R730 is rated for 3,000m² (0.75 acres) and up to 4,000m² (1 acre) a day, recharging in 60 minutes and operating a six-motor AWD with four drive and two independent steering motors, handling 84% slopes and 7cm (2.8-inch) obstacles. That's three times the ground Segway's H510 Pro is specified for. From a brand whose lineup starts around $650, that is a lot of machine for the money.

Dreame Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete
Steam is everywhere in floor care and almost nowhere in robots. Nearly every stick vac on this show floor heats water, but putting a steam generator inside an autonomous robot that docks, refills, and cleans itself is a much harder engineering problem. Dreame's Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete looks like a first of its kind, and that's why we're awarding it.
A couple of robot vacuum-mops offer steam cleaning within the dock, for their own rollers and pads. Those include Samsung's Bespoke Jet Bot Combo+, Roborock's Saros 20, and Dreame's own Aqua 10 Ultra. Dreame says it heats the water to 180°C (356°F), then vaporizes it, pushing it through four outlets in the chassis roller mop to melt stubborn stains like dried grease. That temperature is hot enough to reach the heat-resistant bacteria that hot water alone leaves behind.
The rest of the machine is the current state of the art, and it is executed well. The roller mop lays down fresh water and lifts dirty water into a separate tank—at 18N of downforce, the highest figure anyone in this category publishes. The MopExtend feature pushes the roller 8 centimeters (3.1 inches) into corners.

Roborock Saros 20 Flow
Roborock's Saros 20 line now branches into several models, and the differences go beyond cosmetics. The base Saros 20, which shipped in March and is our current pick for the market's best overall model, runs dual spinning mop pads at 36,000Pa. The Saros 20 Sonic swaps in VibraRise 5.0 pads that buzz at 4,000 vibrations per minute.
The debuting Flow abandons pads for a live-water roller, the SpiraFlow, fed by a pressurized pump through 16 hydration points, laying down clean water and lifting dirty water continuously instead of smearing one soggy, stained pad around a room.
What takes the Flow into the end zone is its 8.98cm (3.5-inch) body that still clears 8.8cm double-tier thresholds on wheel-mounted climbing aids. Dreame's X60 Pro Ultra climbs higher, but it does so with pads. Roller-mop robots elsewhere, like Narwal's Freo 20, top out at 3–4cm, and we can't find any others that approach the Flow's height.

xLean TR1
If you’ve ever used a robot vacuum and mop, you know that it offers floor maintenance, rather than a full floor clean. It may not be able to mop up that dried paw print in the hallway, or navigate the maze of dining room chairs you didn’t set right after dinner last night. It’s common for households to also keep a mop and an upright vacuum in the closet for those moments.
xLean offers a solution with its TR1, which can morph from a robot unit to a handheld one in seconds. The LiDAR turret on top of the robot retracts, leaving a socket behind it. A handle clicks into the socket to become the floor head of an upright wet-dry vacuum, using the same rollers, tanks, and motors.
The xLean TR1 is an IFA 2026 Innovation Awards Honoree in both the Smart Home and Home Appliances categories. However, the TR1 is a Kickstarter project—2,019 backers, $2.1 million—and it has not shipped.

Roborock RockAqua P1
Roborock's first pool robot addresses a hefty problem right out of the gate—weight. Every robotic pool cleaner has to come out of the water at the end of a cycle, and most come out full of water, which is how a 15kg (33-pound) robot turns into a two-handed lift over a wet deck.
Beatbot offers SmartDrain technology, which floats its robots to the surface and expels the water for you. Roborock's RockAqua P1 does second best by draining in 15 seconds—once it's lifted and held above the surface. One tap in the app parks it at the waterline, where it waits to be picked up. It's less glamorous than shiny parts and AI features, but we think it's one of the most useful ideas in the category this year.
Its other innovation is a built-in depth sensor that lets the bot work in shallow water down to 20cm (8 inches), where tanning ledges and beach entries live and where most pool robots either refuse to enter or strand themselves. A gravity-balanced body with multi-sensor fusion handles floors, walls, the waterline, and steps. Roborock claims 98% coverage, helped by an AI camera that identifies what it's looking at, from leaves and acorns down to sand and fine sediment, and adjusts suction to match.

Narwal Flow 2
We tested the Flow 2 back in April of this year and gave it our Recommended badge, so this isn’t a machine that’s new to us. (What is an IFA debut is its white colorway.) However, the Flow 2 remains an excellent machine and continues to stand out from the pack of robot vacs we’ve examined in Berlin.
The Flow 2 stands apart because of the proprietary FlowWash Mopping System and the mop's shape. Rinsing a roller mid-clean isn't special—Eufy and Ecovacs both do it. But where everyone else uses a cylinder that meets the floor along a thin line, FlowWash uses a flattened track, closer to a tank tread, laying a broad flat face of microfiber down as it goes. Narwal puts the gain at nearly seven times the contact area. Additionally, 16 angled nozzles feed it 60°C (140°F) water continuously while a scraper pulls the dirty water straight back out. Our tester found it dealt with sticky spills that other robots just spread around, and that it ran quieter than a ceiling fan.
In related news at the booth, Narwal is introducing the FlowWash Mopping System to two models in the more budget-oriented Freo line: the Freo 20 and Freo 20 Edge.

PrimeBot Q1
We had a great time at the PrimeBot booth watching the Q1 dance and work through a set of martial arts forms, and we think it’s one of the more impressive humanoids on the floor. At 88cm (35 inches) and 15kg (33 pounds), it's small enough to carry in a backpack. It's force-controlled throughout its body, which is what lets it move continuously rather than lurch between poses, as you’ll see other human-form robots do.
Unlike almost everything else in this hall, the PrimeBot Q1 is built for user modification and customization. PrimeBot publishes the files for the robot's body panels, so you can print your own shells on a consumer 3D printer, selecting colors and armor that suit you. It also features a modular head that comes off, so you can give yours unique features.
As for functionality, PrimeBot publishes the SDK and HDK interfaces so that a programmer can write their own software to drive the robot or bolt on their own physical hardware, such as a camera or a sensor. Lastly, PrimeBot offers two software layers—PrimeFlow for changing how it looks and sounds, and PrimeStudio for programming what it does.
The price, which PrimeBot lists at $8,000, suggests the company views it more as a developer platform than a gadget for the average consumer.

A professional permanent lighting install runs up to $5,300. Govee's DIY version costs $499 and looks just as good.
Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 Pro
Permanent outdoor lighting—not to mention the seasonal string lights industry—has been quietly overcharging people for years now. A Trimlight or Jellyfish install runs roughly $2,700 to $5,300 on an average 150-foot roofline. We just used Govee's Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 Pro to line 100 feet of roof at one-fifth of the price ($499.99), and our DIY job looks just as posh as a professional install.
It's no secret that Reviewed is a big fan of Govee's smart lighting products. They excel in both execution and intelligence. We appreciate the thoughtful engineering here, as each light head carries two independently controlled zones, stacked vertically on a 15-degree-tilted base, so a single run can throw one color up under the eave and a different one down the wall—and it needs only 6 centimeters (2.4 inches) of eave depth to do it.
As a bonus, this is the first Y-connector we've seen in Govee's permanent outdoor lighting lineup; it lets two split light strings run different lighting effects. The lights are rated IP68 waterproof.

Govee Sky Ceiling Light
Artificial skylights that emulate the real sky with premium nanotechnology rather than just glowing have existed for a decade, but these architectural elements can start at prices in the tens of thousands. And, while not exactly the same, the interesting thing about Govee's version is its $399.99 price. For someone who works in a windowless basement office or wakes up in an interior bedroom, that's the difference between a technology you read about and one you own.
We first saw the Sky Ceiling Light at CES 2026 when Govee previewed it. In the months since, Govee has upgraded its output to 7,000 lumens of white light and expanded its color temperature range to 1000K–12000K, bringing the light's overall effect even closer to natural daylight. We've since tested the enhanced version shown at IFA, rather than the CES prototype.
Govee says the Sky Ceiling Light's combined innovations achieve up to 2,500 lx M-EDI (Melanopic Equivalent Daylight Illuminance) by recreating key characteristics of natural daylight. Melanopic EDI is the ISO-standardized measure of how strongly a light source drives the circadian system, and that number matters for a product sold on the basis of wellbeing.

Tineco Pure One Station 7
We've tested loads of Tineco floor cleaners over the years, and they generally excel. This one arrives carrying the biggest number in our smart home pool: Tineco says the Pure One Station 7 delivers up to 350 air watts. Air watts is the better of the two figures vacuum brands quote, the other being Pascals (noted as Pa, measured with the inlet sealed and no air moving at all). Air watts account for both airflow and suction. To boot, 350AW is double that of Tineco's predecessor, the Station 5, and above Dyson's flagship at 315AW.
Combine that with the following factor, and you'll understand why we've awarded it. Most self-emptying vacuums pull the bin out and call it done. The ZeroTouch Intelligent Station runs a full-path clean—floor brush, vacuum tube, dustbin, and HEPA filter—through a fully sealed dust-transfer pathway with 13-stage filtration, so the dirtiest moment in vacuum ownership stops happening in your face where you can breathe it right in.
Don't overlook its 90-minute runtime, a larger brush roller, a dedicated Pet Hair Recovery Mode, one-handed bin removal, and a dual-handle design that makes it manageable on stairs.

Reolink OMVI 2i Ultra
Last year at IFA, we awarded Reolink for the TrackFlex Floodlight, and this top-notch home security company is back with the smarter half of an idea it's been circling for a while.
Most dual-lens security cameras bolt both lenses to the same motor, so the moment the camera zooms in on someone walking up your driveway, it stops watching everything else—you trade your wide view for your close-up. The OMVI 2i Ultra runs its two lenses independently: a fixed 4K wide-angle at 130 degrees that never stops recording the whole scene, and a separate 5MP telephoto on its own 355-degree pan that locks onto a person, vehicle, or animal and keeps following, even after the subject leaves the wide-lens frame entirely.
Reolink brought this idea to market in June with the OMVI 3i, a triple-lens camera at $299.99, but it requires a PoE cable. What the OMVI 2i Ultra does differently is manage it without a cord at all. A detachable 10,000mAh battery (EU battery-regulation-compliant) lasts six months, and the bundled 6W solar panel needs 30 minutes of daily sun to run indefinitely. There's also local storage, so no subscription is mandatory.

Birdfy Feeder Metal 2 4K
Across the market, smart bird feeders have entered the second half of their first decade quite comfortably with a 2K camera resolution and required subscriptions. Whether that's an equilibrium or a divided focus on niche products like smart bird nests, bird baths, and hummingbird feeders, it's hard to say. Netvue's Birdfy enters IFA 2026 as the only feeder we know of that shoots true 4K Ultra HD (3840 × 2160) resolution. Bird Buddy's flagship Pro tops out at 2K video.
When you're capturing a bird the size of a chickadee, resolution is the whole product. Feather texture and wing markings are what make identification possible and what make the footage worth keeping.
Netvue released this feeder in the U.S. in April, and we've been testing it since. The metal build is excellent, especially considering these feeders live outdoors. We can say from personal experience that squirrels and raccoons treat plastic feeders as a chewing exercise, so a metal feeder lasts much longer.
Lastly, we love Birdfy's business model. Birdfy bundles its AI identification—6,000+ species—and a vision-language recognition engine the company is demonstrating in Berlin into its purchase price, free for the life of the feeder. Competitor Bird Buddy's Pro subscription runs about $39 a year.

Tineco Floor One S11 Artist Fusion Steam
Steam temperature in wet floor care has climbed steadily. Roborock's F25 Ultra arrived at IFA 2025 at 150°C (302°F) and reached 180°C (356°F) this summer; Dreame's Aero Ultra Steam runs at 200°C (392°F). Tineco's HyperSteam technology allows this Floor One edition to hit 230°C (446°F), and as far as we can find, it's the highest figure on a machine arriving this year.
But the S11 Fusion Steam isn't winning for being the hottest. Uniquely, the S11 steams the floor before its cleaning roller reaches it, so the roller scrubs a softened stain rather than grinding a dried one. The One-Touch ReverseScrub feature reverses the brush direction to concentrate friction on a single spot instead of asking you to make eight more passes. Reverse rotation is a real mechanical idea, and we don't see competitors using it.
The S11 Fusion Steam's self-maintenance is thought through, too. Use FlashDry for a fast turnaround, or SilentDry for a household where a 40dB appliance cycle at 10 p.m. is a problem. Lastly, 110 minutes of runtime is generous for a machine carrying a boiler.

Aqara T1/T2/H1 Lighting Series
Judging Aqara's lighting releases by their individual features doesn't make anything stand out at first—smart lighting competitors like Hue and Govee have made good bulbs for a decade, and a floor lamp, a downlight, and a light strip aren't new ideas.
Judge them collectively, though, with Aqara's AI-driven spatial intelligence philosophy as the throughline, and you get a lighting series that understands and adapts to how people use their spaces. This is where competitors can't touch Aqara.
Aqara's FP2 and FP300 presence sensors are the best you can buy for a house, and the FP400 (previewed at CES 2026) adds position, posture, headcount, and fall detection (we gave the FP300 an award at IFA 2025). Connecting the multisensors with the lighting series builds a hands-off web of products that respond to where a person is actually standing, rather than to a motion blob that stops seeing you the moment you sit still—if you've been taking a Zoom meeting in the quiet library stacks only to be plunged into darkness after five minutes, you know what we're talking about. Hue and Govee can't currently ship this, because neither offers the sensing component.
Every product in the series supports both Thread and Zigbee, is Matter-enabled, and works with Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings, Home Assistant, and Homey. The 2000K–9000K range exceeds Hue's usual 6500K ceiling, and the Floor Lamp T1's 16-bit, five-channel driver provides 18 individually addressable zones.

Philips Hue Liane 360°
Rope lights have always been decoration—a glow tucked behind a shelf, not a light you'd actually read by. But Philips Hue’s IFA debut, the Liane 360°, is the brightest one we've come across, and it's bright enough to be the light in a room, rather than an accent. Just a 3-meter (10-foot) length puts out 2,250 lumens, more than twice as bright as a Hue bulb. Per foot, that's roughly twice what LIFX's neon flex gives you and about 12 times Nanoleaf's rope light.
When it comes to design, the rope light is a round tube rather than a flat strip behind a diffuser, allowing it to glow in every direction at once with no visible dots along its length. It works hung or mounted, or even wrapped around a banister. To be clear, this is a striking statement piece.

Press a button and the Dreo 720S physically rises, converting a focused jet of heat into a full-room spread. It's a $140 answer to a $500 Dyson.
Dreo Whole-Room Heater 720S
Dreo debuts the mechanically curious Whole-Room Heater 720S at IFA 2026, built around its AutoShift technology. A precision motor raises or lowers the unit's upper housing to heat you personally or, instead, an entire room.
The squat cylindrical electric heater physically changes shape. Press a button and a motor lifts the top of the heater just over an inch, and a cone tucked underneath rises with it, turning a narrow jet of hot air into an even spread in all directions.
Dreo says that lift distance took hard work to achieve—with any less height, you couldn't tell the two modes apart; any more height, and the warm air drifted up over your head instead of around you. A redesigned fan and a smaller heating element push air out of the focused mode at 4.1 feet per second, compared with 2.9 feet per second in room mode.
Dyson has sold its Hot+Cool Jet Focus fan heater AM09, which switches between focused and spread-out air, since 2015, using an internal valve rather than a moving shell. It's still a bestseller and costs $499.99. Dreo's iteration, with three heat settings, a 5–35°C (41–95°F) temperature range, ±45° oscillation, and touch/remote/voice/app control, costs far less, at €119.99 (about $140).

Bluetti Pioneer 5000 E-Generator
The problem with gas-powered generators is that you can never run them indoors—even in a garage or workshop—because of the carbon monoxide risk. Bluetti's answer is the Pioneer 5000 E-Generator, a battery big enough to do a gas generator's job. Read: This is not a camping power station—it's built for a work site.
The Pioneer 5000 goes beyond residential use and into applications that demand high output and durability. Power tools pull a huge jolt of electricity the instant they switch on—far more than they draw while simply running—and that jolt is what stalls an underpowered generator. Bluetti's peak is the highest here at 18,000 watts, though it holds that for only a tenth of a second, so read it as headroom for the initial inrush rather than for a hard start. The figure that carries this machine is what comes after: 5,000 watts continuous off a 5,120Wh battery, expandable to roughly 35kWh with add-on packs. That's a full working day.
It's also sealed against rain and dust, built to take a knock, and rated to charge in temperatures from −20°C to 55°C (−4°F to 131°F). It stays quiet while it works, too; Bluetti rates it at 50 decibels or quieter—about the volume of a refrigerator.

EcoFlow PowerRock 4000
Getting temporary power onto a European building site means a permit, an electrician, and a wait measured in weeks. A petrol generator skips the paperwork, but it's restricted in dense cities, is unsafe indoors, and is not an option at all below ground.
EcoFlow's answer is the PowerRock 4000, and the detail that lifts it above "another big battery" is the one most people would scroll straight past: it has a built-in residual current device (RCD) with 30mA leakage detection and cut-off in under 300 milliseconds. On site, that means nobody has to hang a separate inline RCD module off the unit to satisfy the rules—the protection a European job requires is already inside the box.
The rest is built for the same reality. It delivers 4kW continuous and 7.2kW of surge held for up to 100 seconds, which is the window that gets a compressor or a mixer spinning rather than twitching. It offers an all-metal IP65 housing inside a reinforced roll cage, rated to survive a one-meter (3.3-foot) drop; it weighs 38 kilograms (84 pounds), which two people can carry; and it has an alternator top-up that turns the drive between jobs into charging time, on top of 80% in 48 minutes from mains.
Its limit is the 3kWh battery, which at full load lasts well under an hour, and there's no expansion pack to bolt on. Bluetti's Pioneer 5000 is what you buy to replace a generator for a whole day, and EcoFlow's PowerRock 4000 is what you can put to work on a European site the week it arrives.
