The best non-Amazon deals on Prime Day are still around

Amazon's Prime Day is a big deal. So big, in fact, that other retailers are jumping on board with their own sales.

Of course, they're going by different names—Black Friday in July, summertime deals, even some leftover July 4th sales. Macy's, Wal-Mart, and Sears are just some of the major retailers with significant price drops. Many of these deals are on major appliances. That's because Amazon doesn't sell large home appliances (except through third parties). So if you're looking for a deal on a dishwasher or refrigerator, look elsewhere.

While our team continues to scour Amazon for the best Prime Day deals (which you can find here) we're also keeping an eye outside Amazon's virtual walls to find all-time low prices on products we love—no membership required.

Home Appliance

• Whirlpool WRF535SMBM 25.2 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator in Stainless Steel ($998.99, 41% off)

There are usually two times of year you can get a stainless, French door fridge under $1000: this week, and the week of Black Friday. We tested—and liked—this fridge, and this entry-level model is a good deal if you want to update your kitchen with very little effort.

If you're looking for something with more features—and doors—this Samsung will also do the trick. Not only is it a good deal, it's a great fridge: we lab tested it and gave it our coveted Editors' Choice award.

• Whirlpool WDF520PADM Dishwasher in Stainless Steel ($298.00, 40% off)

Though not as quiet as pricier models, this 55 dBa dishwasher is the best you can buy for under $300. If you're planning on a low-cost, high-impact remodel, snap it up.

• Amana AER5630BAS 4.8 cu. ft. Electric Range with Self-Cleaning Oven in Stainless Steel ($398.00, 39% off)

• Amana AGR5630BDS 5.0 cu. ft. Gas Range with Self-Cleaning Oven in Stainless Steel ($398.00, 39% off)

To complete your whole kitchen setup, check out one of these stainless ranges. The electric model even won our Best of Year award in 2015. Amana is owned by Whirlpool and the stainless finish matches the Whirlpool dishwasher and fridge.

Small Appliance

• KitchenAid KV25G0X 5-Qt. Professional Stand Mixer ($199.99, 33% off)

Macy's has this stand mixer for about $25 less than we've seen it at other retailers. It's only available in two colors—black and red—but both are classic. Snap it up if you need one, or if you need a wedding gift.

• Nespresso C111/D111 Citiz Espresso Maker ($149.99, 25% off usual sale price)

Nespresso's pod espresso and coffee machines are awesome—just pop in a pod (generic ones are now available) and you'll get a coffee-shop-worthy crema without leaving the house. Macy's dropped the price on the compact Citiz down to $149—25% off the next-lowest sale price we've seen.

• iRobot Roomba 770 robot vacuum ($424.99, 15% off sale price)

Televisions

The Dell store has a significant price drop on this Vizio 4K smart TV.

Wal-Mart has some good deals on televisions, although most are on refurbished TVs. Check the warranty and return policy before you buy, but don't worry—modern televisions either work or they don't, and it's likely these were returned by customers simply because they didn't fit.
