Great for staying comfortable and looking good while active, golf skirts (or tennis skirts) are a fashionable way to keep yourself cool during a workout. There are different options when it comes to picking out the perfect sport skirt, and you’ll want one that lets you move freely. Some skirts also have pockets to make it easier to keep track of your personal items, like golf teas or a wallet. We took the time to go through thousands of reviews to find the best golf and tennis skirts with comfort and style that’ll fit you to a tee.

Offering plenty of colors to choose from and sizes from XS to 3XL, this golf skirt from Columbia is a great choice for anyone looking for an active skirt. Pockets on the sides and one on the back as well as built-in discreet shorts make this an easy piece to wear and the drawcord waistband makes for a perfect fit. Reviews mention how comfortable this skirt is for everyday activities as well as exercise.

Made of UPF 50 fabric, this skirt ensures protection against the sun; built-in Omni-shield technology offers advanced water and stain repellency to keep you cool and dry from the courts to the range. Did we mention that it’s machine washable, too? People are pleased with the length of this skirt and say that it holds up well to frequent wear and washing. We love this skirt because it’s a classic, straight style. And the range of sizes makes it great for all body types.

Pros

  • UPF 50 fabric

  • Water repellent

Cons

  • None that we could find

Baleaf Layered Ruffle Skirt

The Baleaf tennis skirt is a versatile girly style, perfect for outdoor activities or the gym. Flattering with its layered ruffles, this skirt also has a high waist and built-in shorts and even comes in a bunch of different colors. Sizes XS to 2XL makes this a good choice for different body types, which we love, and while the material is lightweight and breathable for sports, it still offers a lot of tummy control for those of us who like a little extra support. With 90% polyester and 10% spandex, you won’t have to worry while getting your stretches in pre-game.

Pros

  • High waisted

  • Breathable

Cons

  • None that we could find

Pick from a pleated or straight style with this skirt from Baleaf. Made of machine-washable polyester and spandex, this skirt has a wide elastic waistband and drawcord for a perfect fit. Meanwhile, reflective details make it easy to stay visible in low-light conditions. This skirt has a hidden pocket for your belongings, and the mesh pockets on the shorts underneath have headphone-cable slits on each side and can store essentials like your phone, keys, or wallet without problems. Available sizes are XS to 2XL.

Pros

  • Good pockets

  • Different styles

Cons

  • None that we could find

Werena Pleated Sport Skirt

Reminiscent of my cheerleader days, this pleated skirt comes in lots of colors and is easily paired with a matching top for the cutest fit on the court. Sizes XXS to 2XL make inclusivity easy, and the built-in shorts are said to be comfortable but on the sheer side. Another qualm with the shorts underneath is that, unlike some other options, these shorts don’t have anything to keep them from riding up. And they may roll up during activities, which is just annoying.

What we like about this skirt is that the back is slightly longer than the front, making this a good choice for us big-booty girls who can’t normally wear short skirts without worrying about length. Some people who ordered this skirt have mentioned that some of the colors aren’t exactly as pictured, so we’d be careful when choosing a color. But if you’re looking for a basic black, there shouldn’t be any problems.

Pros

  • Longer in the back

  • Inclusive sizing

Cons

  • Colors might be off

  • Shorts are sheer

Product image of Santiny Pleated Sport Skirt
Santiny Pleated Sport Skirt

The pleated athletic skirt from Santiny is a big hit with a zipper and built-in mesh shorts, but what we love about this skirt is the pocket space included. Let’s face it: we don’t often get enough pocket space in our clothes—but with this tennis skirt, you’ll no longer have to worry about where to store your keys or other belongings. And if you hit a ball out of bounds, there’s even a ball pocket, so you won’t have to go running for a backup. Made of 87% polyester and 13% spandex, this athletic skirt is stretchy enough to allow for movement while still making you look and feel great on the court.

Pros

  • Ball pocket

  • Flattering waist

Cons

  • None that we could find
