There are plenty of reasons you might be shopping for home decor online. Maybe there aren’t any good stores near you, maybe you don’t feel like getting dressed and interacting with humans, or maybe you just prefer to have furniture delivered to your door instead of trying to fit the huge boxes into your trunk—all of these are valid reasons to stay home and shop from the comfort of your couch.

Whatever your reason, the good news is that there are plenty of home decor stores that make it easy to find just what you’re looking for online. No matter your style or budget, these 12 online stores will help you decorate your home from top to bottom without you ever putting on real pants.

Home Depot also carries a wide selection of furniture, home accents, wall decor, and more. They even sell mattresses. Basically, whatever type of home decor you’re in the market for, Home Depot has you covered.

Pier 1 still sells their iconic (and super cozy) papasan chairs.

If you’re looking for more exotic, interesting home decor pieces, don’t sleep on Pier 1. I feel like people have forgotten about this home decor store, but I still like to browse every once in a while, as they have unique styles you won’t find anywhere else. Plus, I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for their papasan chairs—the cozy bowl-shaped ones like in the photo above. I got as a birthday present one when I was a teenager, and it stayed with me for something like 10 years, essentially until it started falling apart.

If you're looking for budget-friendly, minimalistic decor, IKEA will be your new favorite store.

For those with a more minimalistic style (and who don’t mind doing a bit of construction), IKEA is another good place to shop for home decor online. The Swedish company is known for its meatballs and its ready-to-assemble furniture, much of which is quite affordable, and they also offer a lot of smaller decorative pieces, such as planters, lights, and wall decor. Plus, the company releases new collections seasonally, so there’s always something new to discover.

If you’re going to purchase furniture at IKEA, just be prepared to build the pieces—a task that’s typically quite frustrating, speaking from experience. It’s the trade-off for the affordable price points.
