If you're anything like me, preparing for holidays happens on the day of. I'm absolutely the person running to the store and snagging the last bag of candy on hand at Halloween. Luckily, this year, Walmart unveiled a new membership service—Walmart+—that will deliver in-store goods to you within just a few hours, meaning you don't have to start sweating when you realize nearly everything Halloween-related is out of stock at Amazon.
Like Instacart and Shipt, Walmart+ will deliver products from your local Walmart to your door (just check the site first to make sure your zipcode is eligible). It's worth noting that the Halloween items have really been going in and out of stock, so make sure to keep an eye on the items you most want.
Here are some of the best Halloween essentials you can get by tomorrow if you order with Walmart+:
1. A few extra pumpkins for your table
There's really nothing as cute as a tiny pumpkin. Knobby, goblin-like pumpkins are a Halloween staple, and if you find yourself without some last minute that's okay! Walmart+ can deliver these 3 little pumpkins to your doorstep (so you can put them on your doorstep).
2. The requisite bag of assorted chocolates
Why not go for the classics? This is the bag of candy I remember sifting through secretively as I passed by it, hunting for Reese's Cups. This rather large Hershey's assortment is perfect for last-minute Halloween prep and contains crowd pleasers like Milk Duds, Kit-Kats, and more.
3. Pumpkin carving tools
While this classic Halloween activity can be done using tools you have on hand, it's helpful to have scoops and knives handy when the time comes. This 'bare bones' kit comes with a basic saw for precision cutting and a scoop to remove all the gooey pumpkin innards.
4. Spooky sprinkles for Halloween treats
In lieu of buying those pumpkin cookies to bake, consider sprucing up your own creations with these Halloween sprinkles. With six different sweet sprinkle options in orange, black, and purple, this sprinkle set will help your muffins, cookies, and cakes ascend to true ghoulish heights.
5. Halloween string lights for last minute decorating
Nothing says spooky like dim lighting, and these Halloween string lights come with orange-hued bulbs for a classic, warm Halloween look. Hang them from the mantle, above the door, or even throw a few over the bushes for a Christmas light effect.
6. A giant spider in a web
Spider-themed decor is possibly one of the best parts of Halloween, and this large spider sitting on a web can be delivered with your groceries—what more could you ask for? This 8-foot web decoration is great for indoor or outdoor spaces.
7. A Halloween banner
This Happy Halloween banner is perfect if you're trying to get a grasp on our nebulously moving year by rooting yourself in the present day and reminding yourself that, yes, it is Halloween. There are two banners in each pack and each one is dotted with pumpkins and boasts a festive, vintage look.
8. Candy corn
What's Halloween without everyone's least favorite candy (apologies if you're a candy corn person)? Candy corn is a classic staple that will absolutely remain in a bowl in your kitchen for months after October has ended, so be sure to grab your requisite bag before Walmart is sold out.
9. A bag of gourds because why not
In keeping with the goblin-like pumpkins, these warty gourds are great if you're leaning more harvest than spooky with your Halloween decor setup. This bag will come with five assorted gourds at a really great price.
10. Eye-balls for every season
If you're all about breaking out the black plastic Solo cups for a bit of Halloween beer pong (or water pong) these eyeball ping pong balls make a perfect swap for your everyday ping pong balls and are right in line with the creepy festivity of the season.
11. Gauzy fabric for literally every surface
This is the kind of thing I have draped over everything in my home from now until November. If you want to darken a corner or get an Addams Family vibe going over your windows, adding a little bit of gauzy fabric can make a huge difference. This 'Freaky Fabric' is dotted with holes and fabricated wear that gives it a rustic, eerie look and can be stretched and shaped.
12. Those caramel apple lollipops
I remember a year where you literally couldn't find these at the store around Halloween because they were so massively popular. These caramel apple lollipops are extremely delicious and worth having on hand if you're celebrating Halloween with people you love, as they're a sure crowd-pleaser.
13. Spider confetti
Finding small plastic spiders around the house post Halloween always felt like an inevitability growing up, and if you're looking to recreate that experience (and possibly scare yourself when you find one later on) look no further than this 3D spider confetti. This pack of 100 mini spiders is perfect for taking part in a Halloween mantlepiece or even for sticking in a jar for a spooky apothecary aesthetic.
14. A cauldron for your candy
Who wants a regular old bowl of candy when you can set out candy in a cauldron instead? This is great if you're trying to avoid contact while handing out candy, or simply for having around the house to hold your candy or party favors.
15. Pumpkin plates for your Halloween spread
It's occurred to me that I have no idea if I ever ate dinner on Halloween growing up—I remember eating lots of snacks, but there was rarely time for dinner in between donning costumes and scouring the neighborhood for candy. That said, if there's no time for dinner there's definitely no time for dishes. These pumpkin plates are perfect for any Halloween nibbling you're doing.
16. A bag of bones!
I will never fail to mention bags of body parts in my Halloween roundups, and this bag of bones called out to me as I was perusing Walmart's Halloween selection. So many bones! And a skull as a bonus! You can scatter them on the ground for your own personal crypt effect! What's not to love?
