Speed Queen ADE41F 7.0 Cu. Ft. Electric Stainless Steel Dryer Review
Speed Queen may not be the best-known manufacturer of consumer dryers, and the ADE41F model may be one of the reasons why.
As a manufacturer of coin-operated washer and dryers, Speed Queen is particularly familiar to apartment residents and college students living in dorms. They do have products meant for regular consumers, however, and they include the Speed Queen ADE41F. This massive, stainless steel dryer looks like something that would have been found in a laundromat several decades ago: it's big, looks clunky, and uses old-fashioned crank timers with limited cycle options. The cycles we tested ran longer and got much hotter than many other more conventional machines found today, but you can't argue with results: it definitely got our materials dry. Be aware, though, that the Speed Queen's price tag matches it's rather substantial girth: this dryer is available for about $1499, and good luck finding a sale price. The best we could get was $1431 on Amazon Prime. There's very little that this dryer can offer that can't be found on a cheaper model other than novelty and the durability of a small tank. If that's your biggest interest, then go get one today; otherwise, look for something a bit more up-to-date that won't hit your wallet quite so hard.
