Everyone’s obsessed with Brooklinen sheets—is their loungewear just as cozy?

I tried it to find out.

"I love getting out of bed in the morning," said no one ever. There's nothing like the feel of your sheets wrapped around your body like the warmest, snuggliest hug. But sadly, you have to get up and put on real clothes—until now.

Thanks to cult-favorite bedding company Brooklinen, you can wear those cozy sheets all day long. In the form of loungewear, that is. When I first heard that Brooklinen—who makes our experts' number one bed sheets—was releasing a line of apparel, I was intrigued. After all, as someone who works from home all day, every day, joggers and T-shirts are basically my uniform.

So naturally, I had to try it for myself. Would the clothes—which claim to be ultra-comfortable and of the highest quality—really live up to the hype? Here are my honest thoughts—and whether or not Brooklinen's long-awaited loungewear is worth buying.

What I love about Brooklinen loungewear

The three pieces I tried out: Morningside dress, Boerum joggers, and Delancey T-shirt.

For my testing (which looked a lot like me alternating between laying on my bed and laying on the couch), I ordered three pieces from Brooklinen's line: the Boerum joggers, the Delancey T-shirt, and the Morningside dress. I rotated between pieces for a full week—and let's just say the other tees and joggers in my dresser have been worn a heck of a lot less ever since. I.e. I'm obsessed with Brooklinen's clothing.

It's comfortable. Super soft, lightweight, breathable—just a few words I'd use to describe all three of the pieces I tested. The cotton fabric is cozy without being suffocating so you can wear it year-round and the loose, relaxed fit gives you room to move around freely. I also like the high-waisted, thick waistband of the joggers, which sits comfortably at just the right point on my waist.

You can wear it outside of the house. I'm not someone who wears sweatpants outside of the house. But the Brooklinen loungewear is stylish enough—and structured enough—that I felt comfortable wearing it in public. On the day I wore the Morningside dress, I had dinner with my sisters and simply tossed on a necklace and a cardigan over the dress and was out the door in minutes. Not only did it look good but it felt good, too (and no one knew I had been lounging around in the dress all day!).

It's made of high-quality material that holds up well. As mentioned, I live in loungewear. So I need pieces that can be worn and washed at least once a week (often more like twice) without falling apart, pilling, or fading. And so far, my Brooklinen clothes have held up to the test. As it should, since the brand says that each piece goes through five different quality-control checks before it even makes it to your doorstep.

You can mix and match the pieces. I only have three pieces from Brooklinen's loungewear line but I appreciate that all of the pieces are in the same color palette, making it easy to mix and match if you want to switch up your WFH look from day to day. Everything from the dress to the bottoms to the tops come in the same muted neutral colors (like olive, blush pink, and heather gray) that complement each other and also that look comfy-chic.

What I don't like about Brooklinen loungewear

As cliche as it sounds, the only thing I don't like about Brooklinen's loungewear line is that there isn't more of it! I wish there was more variety (like leggings or different style T-shirts, etc.) but hoping that is in the works for the future. One other small annoyance: The Delancey T-shirt was a little short for my liking. It wasn't quite short enough to be a crop top yet not quite long enough to be the length I like for standard T-shirts. Of course, that could be due to the fact that I have a much longer torso than most people—however, after browsing the reviews on Brooklinen's website, I saw that a few other people had the same issue.

Is Brooklinen loungewear worth buying?

Take it from a self-proclaimed loungewear snob—yes. Definitely yes. Every piece I tried from Brooklinen was buttery soft, lightweight yet high-quality, and stylish enough to wear outside of your house (much more so than your average pair of sweats). Plus, where else are you going to find a lounge dress?! Seriously, that one is a game-changer for anyone who hates pants as much as I do.

And because the pieces are so durable and well-made, you'll get plenty of wears out of them—making them well worth the price. I.e. if you're looking for the perfect comfy-cute loungewear, Brooklinen is a good place to start.
