Today LG announced that it is jumping headfirst into the fitness tracker market. Or really, wrist and ear first.

LG unveiled Lifeband Touch, a smart wristband compatible with iOS, Android, and other bluetooth devices that tracks everything from number of steps taken to calories consumed. Wearers can also see caller ID and view text messages from Lifeband's OLED touchscreen display.

In addition to Lifeband, LG also announced Heart Rate Earphones. The Earphones serve as comfortable music-delivery devices with the added attraction of tracking your heart rate throughout the course of the day. The Earphones use optical sensor technology to check your blood flow and heart rate. The Earphones link wirelessly to Lifeband.
