The Parachute Cloud Cotton Robe is my favorite robe I've ever purchased.

We've already written about how much we love the Parachute Classic Robe, but my favorite robe is the Parachute Cloud Cotton Robe, a sister style that features a waffle weave and the same level of style and comfort as the brand's popular Classic version. I purchased this robe two years ago (and have purchased it as a gift for others since then) and can confidently say it's the best robe I've ever worn. Here's why.

Why I love the Parachute Cloud Cotton Robe

The Parachute Cloud Robe is the perfect length.

It's incredibly comfortable.

A good robe should be soft, absorbent, and comfortable for resting—all three areas in which the Parachute Cloud Cotton Robe excels. I am not a fan of robes that feel like bath towels (if I wanted to wear a towel, I'd simply wear a towel). The Cloud Cotton Robe is made from material that looks more like a waffle weave, but feels more like comfortable pajamas. It's incredibly cozy to throw on after a shower and continue relaxing in all night long.

This robe is exceptionally breathable, making it an excellent purchase for summer or fall. You don't have to worry about carrying around a heavy blend or trying to distinguish between leftover shower water and sweat.

It's the perfect length.

The Cloud Cotton Robe runs from 41" in length (XS) up to 45.5" in length (3XL). For me, that sizing is perfect—it runs just below my knees and offers enough clearance for full coverage to my knees (so I don't have to worry about awkward gaps).

It comes in fun colors.

I'm not a fan of boring white robes, so when I saw the Cloud Cotton Robe came in six standard colors (plus seasonal color options), I was thrilled. I own it in Surplus, which is like a cactus green. It also comes in cream, two shades of pink, blue, and dark gray.

The ties are plush, not stiff.

As great as a robe can feel, often the ties are what make it a clunky option in the end. The Parachute Cloud Cotton Robe's ties are made from the same material as the robe itself, so they're just as comfy as the rest of it. There are two loops on either end of the robe for the ties to string through, and when you actually tie them together, they hold in place well without feeling restricting or stiff.

What I don't love about the Parachute Cloud Cotton Robe

The Parachute Robe is expensive, but worth the splurge.

It's expensive.

If you're hunting for a cheap robe, this isn't the robe for you. You can pick up a robe at Amazon for $20, but aside from its low price, it'll be hard to find as many good qualities as you would with a more splurge-worthy option like the ones at Parachute. This robe is on the higher end of the price spectrum—it retails for $109—but it's actually less expensive than our favorite option from Eberjey.

You may want to size up.

OK confession time—I own this robe in two sizes: medium and large. Per the chart on Parachute's website, I should be a medium, but I have a larger bust and hips, which means the robe kept creating awkward gaps that didn't quite give me enough coverage that I was comfortable with. I ended up buying a second in large and much prefer the fit. If you plan to wear the robe over pajamas, sticking to the size chart should be fine. But if you have a similar body type to mine, I'd recommend sizing up.

The Parachute Cloud Cotton Robe is absolutely worth buying.

Absolutely.

The Parachute Cloud Cotton Robe is my favorite robe I've ever used. It's comfortable, plush, absorbent, and provides enough coverage that I'm comfortable walking around all night long. It's a great option for those who prefer a lighter robe and more exciting colors. If you prefer a more plush, traditional bathrobe, we recommend shopping the Classic Turkish Cotton Robe instead.
