If you think the autumn season is dominated by muted, neutral earth tones, you wouldn't be entirely wrong. Terracotta and taupe shades tend to rule the later months, but this season, the rules have been shifting. With the rise of Y2K style and TikTok trends, seasonal colors are more vibrant than ever. When it comes to the trendiest hues this fall think lime green, pacific blue, hot pink, and warm cinnamon.

The shades may seem summery and bright, but that doesn’t mean you can’t continue to wear bold colors as the seasons change. Contrasting cooler weather is a statement in itself. We rounded up items in each of the season’s trendiest hues below.

Lime Green

You can thank Gen-Z for the recent trend for this electric Lime Green.

This bright pop of green doesn’t need to be reserved as an accent color. Lime green was commonly spotted at the Copenhagen 2023 Spring Fashion Show, with Gen-Z leading the charge in donning the neon shade. Don’t be afraid to upgrade this color as a bold accessory, or even sport the look in a monochromatic outfit. Lime green pairs with other citrusy shades, as well as neutrals like brown, black, and navy.

The UO Finley Cropped Turtleneck Sweater from Urban Outfitters is a trendy option in the season’s hottest color. The cropped style has a turtleneck and split hems, making it a style that is perfect for fall days that start cool but heat up mid-day. Pair this with high-waisted trousers or a miniskirt to add a pop of color to your muted everyday look.

A slightly softer lime is a middle ground between citrus and pastel, which might make it easier to pair with colors you already have. The Women’s Long-Sleeve T-Shirt classic long-sleeve silhouette from Nike makes a sporty yet practical layer. It’s also made from 75% organic cotton fibers.

Footwear is a fun way to add color to any outfit, so why not choose something bold? The Nike Air Max Pre-Day Sneaker is a pale lime green with black and white accents. They’ll pair with athleisure and workout clothing easily, and can add a casual element to a slip dress or business casual outfit just as well.

Try adding Pacific Blue to your fall wardrobe for a touch of nautical calm.

Pacific blue—ranging from a soft baby blue to a more saturated ocean shade—is another fall color to add to your repertoire this year. Try the soft hue instead of navy to brighten up any outfit. Many brands are leaning into the color as a way to hang on to the dwindling days of summer. Bright blues can also replace traditional neutrals as a base color to build an outfit around.

The Luxe Merino Cardigan from Everlane is a worthy statement piece available in what the brand calls lapis blue. In addition to being warm and comfortable, it can be dressed up or down, making it the perfect addition to any wardrobe.

The soft baby blue Dewdrop Float Ultralight Legging is a fun way to brighten up any outfit. Pair this bestselling style from Girlfriend Collective with any other color. The leggings provide a frosty base layer for any outfit, whether your day includes hiking, studio classes, or errands.

If you’re looking for a bright and breezy color, the New Daphne Topcoat in Italian boiled wool in Seacoast Blue will put an end to your search. The cool-toned blue is perfect for brightening gloomy days. You can add this outerwear to your rotation all fall and winter, pairing it with neutrals for contrast or other bright shades for maximum attention.

Come on Barbie, let's go party! Rock the Barbiecore trend with a pop of Hot Pink.

This fall, there’s perhaps no color more trendy than hot pink. Pink is timeless: it can reference Mean Girls and Marilyn Monroe’s iconic “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend” costume, and more recently has made waves with the Barbiecore trend inspired by Greta Gerwig's upcoming Barbie film due out next summer. Wear hot pink as a bold statement, or sprinkle it into any ensemble to add an electric finishing touch. When it comes to pink, more is always better.

Cargo pants are versatile, perfect for autumn days and practically any activity. The hot pink iets frans… Balloon Cargo Pant is ideal for mixing with other bold style statements for a fashion forward look.

The waffle-knit FP One Scout Jacket is designed to become a favorite fall wardrobe staple. It’s not too heavy or too light, and can be worn as a shirt on its own or as an insulating top layer. The pink is bright and bold; what more can you want?

Warm Cinnamon takes a fall classic an elevates it with a touch of added warmth.

A rich red-brown shade is typical for fall style, and for good reason. This season’s warm cinnamon pairs with other fall neutrals and can also provide a darker base to bright shades like pastels and off-white neutrals. You’ll find this color virtually everywhere during the fall months, but to really shine, look for versatile items that capitalize on the transitional nature of autumn, like vests and utility pants.

Everlane makes sustainable clothing suited for everyday wear, including the Utility Barrel Pant. The cropped length keeps the look fresh and the cotton material helps you stay cool. The pants are high-waisted and have a curved leg that creates a slimming look.

$98 at Everlane

Sweats are trendy and comfortable, need I say anymore? The Accolade Sweatpant from Alo Yoga is available in a cozy warm brown shade called cinnamon brown and is made from French terry fabric. You can pair these with your favorite crew neck and maybe even a matching sports bra.

$108 at Alo Yoga

There’s hardly a better time for sweaters than fall. The Melwood Square-Neck Pullover Sweater in Coziest Yarn from Madewell is a rich brown, super soft, and easy to layer. Wear it to the pumpkin patch or to the office.
