Hunter rain boots remain iconic for a reason, and it’s not just that they look cool. It’s safe to say that a pair of Hunter rain boots are a necessary staple in anyone’s wardrobe. From snow to slush, they’re useful, comfortable, and they really do hold up well over time. Plus, with celebrities like Princess Diana and Kate Moss showcasing their fashion meets function style in the boots, they have this strange way of making you feel like a celebrity yourself whenever you pull them on.

Why Hunter rain boots?

“Formed of natural rubber, each pair is made from 28 hand-cut parts and assembled over three days on an aluminum shoe last bespoke to Hunter, before being vulcanized for superior protection,” says Hunter about their boots. Certified vegan, these waterproof rain boots also come with a 2-year manufacturer warranty- but we don’t think you’ll need it.

Recognizable celebrities like Princess Diana and Kate Moss are just a couple of the fashion icons associated with the Hunter brand.

Comfortable and functional

I wear my Hunter rain boots in basically every type of weather, which can be unpredictable here in New England. Sometimes, I even choose them out of convenience since they’re easy to get on and off quickly. What I like about these boots is that they can handle anything you throw their way, whether it be mud, rain, or snow. Plus, due to their careful construction, they don’t feel bulky, just well-built. So well-built, in fact, that my particular pair was thrifted. Hunter rain boots can often be found thrifted or at estate sales, and since they’re so rugged and easily hosed down, they have the unique ability to show minimal wear.

The tall Hunter rain boot is a unisex style that hits around the knee on most people, comes in plenty of colors, and has a polyester lining that won’t have you feeling sticky even if you don’t invest in a pair of Hunter-specific socks (though the brand does recommend that all boots be worn with socks to protect the wearer's skin from contact with rubber.)

Hunter makes plenty of styles to fit your own personal preference, including a Chelsea rain boot, a short rain boot, and even rain boots for hiking. If you want to upgrade or get your first pair of rain boots, you can’t go wrong with the classic high rain boot from Hunter.
