Audio Pro may not be as well-known as the likes of Sonos when it comes to home speakers, but at IFA 2025, the company launched an all-new lineup that could give the brand a serious boost. The Audio Pro W-Generations speakers are built with features for audio enthusiasts and average consumers alike, including a new app that’s powered by WiiM.

I had a chance to check out Audio Pro’s new speaker lineup for myself, and indeed, they look great. They’re well-designed and built from premium materials. Many of the new models have a removable grille, complete with different tuning modes for when the grille is on or off, considering the fact that a fabric speaker grille affects how speakers sound.

It’s not just design, though. According to Audio Pro CTO Henrik Dunér, the company put some serious effort into re-tuning its entire range of speakers.

“We spent 5,000 to 10,000 hours re-tuning everything,” Dunér told us at the show. “Threw out old DSP settings, and started from scratch. [We] did EQing, set compressors, crossovers, and distortion compensation.”

So, what’s the end result of the new tuning?

Dunér described the overall sound signature, in a word, as “pleasing.” He says that the company doesn’t want to tune the speakers to be completely flat, even though that’s what many audiophiles would want. Instead, he said they have a slight boost in the bass and mids – not as pronounced as some consumer speakers, but still enough to give the sound a bit more excitement.

The speakers also have smart features we’ve come to expect, like automatic room compensation, which aims to keep the overall sound uniform no matter where the speakers are in the home.

Those who do want a sound curve that’s more neutral can get one using the app’s built-in EQ, which is more advanced than most.

It has both a 10-band graphical EQ, and a 10-band parametric EQ, which basically means that users can select the frequencies they want to cut or boost, as well as the width of the EQ adjustment they want to make. That’s far more control than most apps that offer a graphical EQ only, and usually less than 10 bands.

There’s a whole host of wireless and smart features too. There are the basics – like AirPlay – but there’s also support for services like Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music, Deezer, Qobuz, and more. That’s all part of the app redesign, which, as mentioned, is powered by WiiM, the much-loved wireless speaker control app.
