Black Friday may slowly be losing its status as the best shopping day of the year, but it's not going away anytime soon. Indeed, this year's consumerist extravaganza is still packed to the gills with great deals on all sorts of stuff—not least TVs.

Thanks to their increasing popularity, the emphasis this year seems to be on 4K models. With more native content than ever before (and yet more on the way), consumers are finally taking the plunge into the dazzling world of UHD.

But 1080p isn't going quietly into that cold November night. In fact, now might be the best time to capitalize on the rise of 4K by securing a great last-gen set.

Regardless of which resolution you're after, we've scoured the web and compiled a list of TVs to look out for this week, so you don't have to. Read on for the best Black Friday TV deals of 2015.

Vizio 58" 4K LED TV—$698 at Sam's Club

Credit: Vizio

Price: $698.00 (reg. $998)
Model: D58U-D3
Size: 58 inches
Store: Sam's Club, online and in-store
Availability: Thursday, November 26

Vizio's elusive, mysterious D-series is back, and it's back in a big way. This 58-inch 4K is going on sale at Sam's Club for the ridiculous price of $698, and chances are it will sell out pretty quick.

Traditionally, this series has been Vizio's way of offering cut-rate variations on its already affordable E and M series sets. It's difficult to know what features or hardware have been left out on any given D-series model, but it's safe to assume that the D58U-D3 won't have the same number of ports, the same smart TV features, or the same picture quality as its M-series counterparts.

Still, $700 for a 58-inch 4K TV with a smart platform is a heck of a deal. If you can handle the D in the D Series, there's a lot to love about this offering.

Sony 40" & 48" Smart TVs—$348 & $448 at Amazon

Sony KDL40R510C
Credit: Sony

Price: $348 (reg. $449)
Model: KDL40R510C
Size: 40 inches
Store: Amazon
Availability: Now

In a world of OLED TVs, 4K resolution, and gigantic curved screens, Sony's humble KDL40R510C somehow ended up being one of the best TVs we reviewed all year.

Winner of both our Editor's Choice and Best of the Year awards, this little Sony is full of surprises: a smart platform, a fantastic picture with spot-on calibration right out of the box, and a simple yet modern design. Sure, it's not 4K, but if you're looking for the last 1080p TV you'll ever need, you can't do much better than this.

Price: $448 (reg. $559)
Model: KDL48R510C
Size: 48 inches
Store: Amazon
Availability: Now

If 40 inches of screen ain't enough, why not splurge for the 48-inch model? It's currently on sale for a ridiculous $448, also via Amazon.

Think of it this way: Ordinarily, you'd be paying the same amount of money the the 40-inch R510C if neither were discounted.

Toshiba 49" LED TV—$150 at Best Buy

Price: $149.99 (reg. $429.99)
Model: 49L310U
Size: 49 inches
Store: Best Buy, online and in-store
Availability: November 26, 2015

A 49-inch full-HD TV for a hundo-fifty? Look, it's not going to be the greatest screen in the world, but according to Best Buy, this TV still includes three HDMI ports and typically sells for almost $300 more.

Cinephiles should probably leave this one on the shelf, but if you're looking for a new set for the guest room or your kids—or if you're just not that picky—it's a price that's hard to argue with.

Samsung 65" Curved 4K Smart TV—$1,800 at Sears

Samsung UN65JU7500
Credit: Samsung

Price: $1,799.99 (reg. $3,199.99)
Model: UN65JU7500
Size: 65 inches
Store: Sears, online and in-store

So you want a curved TV. It's okay! Embrace it. Samsung's JU7500 was one of our favorite TVs of the year, winning our hearts—and our Editor's Choice award, in the process.

For $1,800, you really can't go wrong. At 65 inches, this thing will absolutely dominate any room. Plus, with Samsung's OneConnect Mini, you're pretty much future-proof for years to come.

This deal is live right now, however, so time is of the essence!

TCL 55" Roku TV—$348 at Amazon, Walmart

TCL 55FS3750
Credit: TCL

Price: $348.00 (reg. $549.99)
Model: 55FS3750
Size: 55 inches
Store: Amazon and Walmart (online and in-store)
Availability: Thanksgiving week on Amazon; at Walmart Thursday, November 26 at 12:01am PT (online) or 6pm (in-store)

When we reviewed TCL's Roku TV earlier this year, it earned our Editor's Choice award for its respectable picture, excellent smart experience, and great value proposition.

This year, both Amazon and Walmart are offering the 55-inch version of the Roku TV for a measly $348. The deal goes live on Thanksgiving day at Walmart, but it's unclear when it will hit Amazon.

A smaller 32", 720p version of the TCL Roku TV will also be available at both stores, for just $125. We'd be hard-pressed to think of a better bedroom set.

Samsung 60" 4K Smart TV—$800 at Best Buy

Samsung UN60JU6390FXZA
Credit: Samsung

Price: $799.99 (reg. $1,499.99)
Model: UN60JU6390FXZA
Size: 60 inches
Store: Best Buy, online and in-store
Availability: November 26, 2015

Looking for a mammoth 4K TV without a curved screen? The 60-inch Samsung JU6390 is one of very few Samsung UHD sets with a traditional design. On November 26, it will be on sale at Best Buy for about $800.

It's got the size, the smart platform, and the price to please anyone hunting for a 4K TV this holiday season. Unfortunately, we haven't tested this particular model, so we can't speak to its performance. But that being said, Samsung's 4K offerings this year have been strong across the board, so it wouldn't be a leap to expect good things from this TV.

Hisense 55" 4K LED TV—$348 at Amazon

Hisense 55H7B2
Credit: Hisense

Price: $348.00 (reg. $779.99)
Model: 55H7B2
Size: 55 inches
Store: Exclusive to Amazon's shopping app
Availability: November 26, 2015

Hisense is known for its affordable TVs, and with the addition of Black Friday savings, the 55-inch H7 is a serious steal. We reviewed the 50-inch model back in July and were pleasantly surprised at how well this budget-friendly TV made out in our testing.

Sure, the H7 we tested struggled to render motion as smoothly as its competitors, and it didn't quite upscale content as well as we would have liked. But if you're looking for a cheap way to view UHD content and plan on doing some holiday shopping this week, the 55-inch Hisense H7 might be your best bet.

Sony 65" & 55" 4K LED Smart TVs—$1,300 at AAFES, $998 at h.h. gregg

Sony XBR65X810C
Credit: Sony

Price: $1,299.00 (reg. $1,799.99)
Model: XBR65X810C
Size: 65 inches
Store: Army & Air Force Exchange Services
Availability: November 27, 2015

This year, members of the armed forces and their families will be able to snag a 65-inch, UHD smart TV from Sony for only $1,299. The promotion is being offered by the Army & Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES) and goes live on Black Friday.

We haven't reviewed the X810C, but we were big fans of its midrange sibling, the X850C when we tested it earlier this year. We expect the X810C to perform in the same ballpark, even if it doesn't offer all the same frills.

Price: $998.00 (reg. $1,499.99)
Model: XBR55X810C
Size: 55 inches
Store: Online at hhgregg
Availability: November 27, 2015

If you're not a member of the armed services, or if you're just looking to save even more money and the loss of 10 inches doesn't bother you, consider the 55-inch version of the X810C. It'll be on sale at h.h. gregg for a hair under $1,000, starting on Black Friday.
