There's an old saying that I just made up, and it goes like this: "You can pay $200 for a TV, but it's probably not going to be very good." The TCL 32S3600 (MSRP $279.99, online for $199) is about as simple as they come: There's no smart platform or enhanced features, just a handful of HDMI ports and a plain remote control.
This is to be expected for such a cheap TV, but the S3600's Achilles' heel is its performance.
