Introduction

Front

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

At the front of the {{product.name}} are four buttons: the timer, start/stop, mode, and homing. There are automatic and manual modes available and the homing button can be used to automatically return the vacuum to its charging station or clean more than one room.

Underside

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

Underneath the {{product.name}} is a power brush that sucks up dirt, four wheels, and four brushes that help the vacuum see any objects in its path. The latest iteration of LG's "Roboking" series is an improvement over previous versions in that LG has shored up issues with bumping objects. The added sensors force the {{product.name}} to turn around if it's facing an object it can't get around.

Noise

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

We have yet to test the {{product.name}} for noise in our lab, but LG claims that it only produces 48 decibels.

Energy Use

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

The {{product.name}} has a Li-lon polymer battery that, according to LG, can last 75 minutes. It does take 180 minutes to charge, though.

Overall Verdict

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

The {{product.name}} will be compared to the most well-known robot vacuum on the market in the Roomba and it looks like LG has improved some of its previous performance flaws. However, it's hard to rate the {{product.name}} in full because we haven't seen how much dirt it can pick up on high pile carpet or debris it can suck up on a hardwood floor. Users should note that the {{product.name}} isn't the same threat that it used to be to knock over objects because of new sensor technology. The vacuum also allows users to switch between cleaning modes and use the honing button to return it to its charger.
