I am an award-winning author and smart home editor for Reviewed. As a freelancer, I've worked with a multitude of outlets such as Wirecutter, TIME, PCMag, Prevention, The Atlantic, Reviews.com, CNN, GOOD, Upworthy, Mom.me, and Woman's World. I've covered a broad range of topics -- from neuroscience to product reviews to parenting to disability issues.
However, long before I ever wrote my first article, I developed a deep fascination with tech. As a child of the '80s and member of the Oregon Trail Generation, I remember being awestruck when my dad brought home a car phone. I forked out $30 to buy a new battery for my Nokia so it would light up like a Christmas tree when it rang. I could speed text even before the advent of Swype. I even owned a dot matrix printer. I never could shut up about the latest tech, and as obnoxious as it surely was in my youth, I've somehow managed to make a career of it as an adult.
Now, I sleep in a smart bed on a smart pillow; I do my makeup in a smart mirror; and I chat with Siri, Alexa, Google, and Cortana throughout the day. I can't wait to see what new things are on the horizon, and I can't wait to tell you all about it.
