Great color performance and improved 3D, at a mid-range price with an extensive library of internet content

The LG 47LW5600 ($1699 MSRP) came out of our lab looking strong.

The KDL-46NX720 is a 3D LCD TV with a mid-range price and an entry-level performance.

Includes 3D display, built-in WiFi, and possibly the best "smart TV" interface on the market.

All things considered, for the price you could do a lot worse than bringing this LG 42LW5300 home.

The Sony KDL-55EX620 (previously $2099, now $1619 MSRP) is the highest-end LED-lit TV that does not include 3D display. To our minds, that definitely makes it worth investigation, as 3D is a dubious attribute anyway and certainly not worth paying extra for unless you're really enthused about it. The EX620 is a strong performer with a lot of features, hampered by a terrible menu.
