Big changes are coming for Disney+ and Hulu subscribers. The streamers have launched the beta version of a combined Hulu and Disney+ service, aptly named “Hulu on Disney+.”

The Hulu on Disney+ beta version is available for Disney Bundle subscribers and those who subscribe individually to both platforms using the same email address. This allows users to access Hulu content directly from the Disney+ app for a more seamless user experience.

This beta launch comes before changes to Disney+ and Hulu’s terms of service which, among other things, will bar password sharing on the streamers.

In combining the Disney+ and Hulu catalogs, Disney will bring together its traditionally kid-focused Disney+ programming with Hulu's more adult lineup of films and series, meaning you can watch things like "Shogun" on Disney+.

Here’s everything we know about the beta launch of Hulu on Disney+.

When are Disney+ and Hulu merging into one app?

The beta version launched in December and is now available to Bundle subscribers and those who individually subscribe to each service ahead of the official launch. The app has its own Hulu landing page, accessible from the home screen, and contains an extensive list of Hulu titles, including Hulu Originals and films and series from channels like A&E, Adult Swim, and more. The official launch date for the merged app will occur sometime in March 2024, but an exact date has not been released.

Hulu and Disney+ were already inextricably linked. The two streaming services already share items across their catalogs because Disney owns a good chunk of Hulu. The two can also already be purchased together (though viewed on separate apps) through the Disney+ and Hulu Bundle wherein you can sign up for both services with one transaction.

How much is Hulu on Disney+?

Hulu on Disney+ will be automatically available to Bundle subscribers and those who subscribe individually to both platforms. The Duo Bundle is $9.99 with ads or $19.99 without ads. While the price for the two services won't change, the user experience will become easier as Disney+ and Hulu content will be accessible in one convenient app.

For an additional cost, you can add ESPN+ to your Bundle or Live TV (with or without ads, depending on which price plan you prefer).

How does Hulu on Disney+ work?

If you’re a Bundle subscriber or you subscribe to both Hulu and Disney+ individually using the same email address across accounts, you will now find a “Hulu hub” in your Disney+ app. Additionally, Hulu content will now populate via the search function.

For those who are only subscribed to one service and not both, you can upgrade to a Bundle plan for as little as $2 more a month.

Will all Hulu movies and shows be on Disney+?

Disney states that the vast majority of Hulu content will be on Hulu on Disney+, but not all of it. The content that didn’t make the cut can still be viewed on the standalone Hulu app.

What can you watch on Disney+?

Disney+ is home to all things Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, National Geographic, and more. The streaming service has hundreds of your favorite Walt Disney Pictures films and series, as well as Disney Channel Original films and series, Star Wars films and series, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and much more. Stream titles like "Robin Hood," "Finding Nemo," "Black Panther," and more.

What can you watch on Hulu?

Hulu has plenty of great series and films in its catalog, including shows like "Shogun," "The Bear," "Ramy," "Only Murders in the Building," and more.

Under the current model, you can also add channels like Max and Starz to your Hulu subscription; it's unclear how additional channels will function (if at all) when Disney+ and Hulu merge into one app officially. The beta doesn't seem to have any incorporation of channels.
