Senior Scientist
@reviewed | jmacdougall@reviewed.com

Julia is the Senior Scientist at Reviewed, overseeing the integrity of the labs, the methods and standards for test procedures in every category, as well as managing the huge backlog of test data stretching back over a decade.

Never one to shy from getting her hands dirty, you might find Julia doing her own testing on products such as varied as fire extinguishers, lunch coolers, and wireless headphones. But the testing she's most proud of is smart thermostats, as she managed to not break Reviewed's extensive (and expensive) air conditioning/heating system.

Julia received a PhD in Geological Sciences from Brown University in 2014, as well as an MBA from University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2019.
