The heat just kicked on for the first time this fall, and if your couch, kitchen, and coffee setup could use an upgrade before winter, Amazon's timing is good. Prime Big Deal Days 2026 runs through October 7, and several of the cold-weather deals we found are the first discounts these products have seen all year.
We've tested many of these products ourselves, and others come from brands we've trusted for years. Think soft throws, crackling candles, better coffee, and cookware built for soup season. Basically, it's time to snuggle up.
Keep in mind most of these prices require a Prime membership.

Blankets & throws
Start with the couch, since that's where most of fall happens. Movie nights, slow Sunday mornings, and early sunsets all get better with a soft blanket within reach.
When we tested the In the Wild print of this CozyChic throw, our reviewer called it one of the softest throws she'd ever owned. It stays warm without feeling heavy. Amazon's price history shows no markdowns on it at any point this year, so this two-day window is a rare one.

This is the best value pick in our throw blanket guide, and it looks far more expensive than it is. The top is a shaggy faux rabbit fur. Flip it over for a short-nap fleece with a velvety feel. It's machine washable, and it's at its lowest price of the year.

Full-size weighted blankets can feel like a commitment. The nodpod Body packs 6.5 pounds of glass beads into a 29-by-24-inch blanket sized for your lap or chest on the couch. Bonus: You can toss it in the wash.
Candles
A good candle does more for a cold evening than its size suggests. Scent sets the mood the moment you walk in the door, and a well-made candle burns cleanly enough to last you through the season. Candles also make easy gifts, so it's worth stocking up while prices are down.
The crackle is real. We tested WoodWick's Fireside candle and found its wooden wick gives off a soft fireplace pop, and it burned more evenly than almost any candle our reviewer had used. Fraser Fir trades that floral scent for an evergreen one. It's the cheapest this jar has been all year.

We burned Nest New York's Holiday candle for hours at a time, and the scent filled the room without turning cloying. Hearth comes in the same classic 8.1-ounce glass vessel, rated for up to 60 hours.
Coffee & tea
Mornings get darker from here, so upgrade the part that gets you moving. A better brewing setup pays off every single day, and it's one of the most-used things in any kitchen. Whether you're a one-button coffee drinker or a slow-morning tea person, these are worth a look.
The K-Elite is one of our two favorite Keurig machines. A strength button makes a bolder cup, and the iced setting brews concentrated coffee meant to be poured over ice. Five cup sizes and a large reservoir cover a full household. This one doesn't require Prime, either.

In our French press testing, the P7 earned our pick for the smoothest cup of coffee. Its double-walled, vacuum-insulated stainless steel keeps a second cup hot while you finish the first. It's built like it will outlast your coffee table.

A 1.25-quart enameled kettle plus two 14-ounce mugs is a full tea setup in one box. We tested Le Creuset's Classic Whistling Kettle and liked how fast it boiled and how cool its handle stayed. Amazon hasn't discounted this set once this year until now. It would make an easy holiday gift.
Cookware
Soup season calls for cookware that can keep up. Braises, stews, and fresh bread all depend on pots that hold heat well and move easily from stovetop to oven. Good cookware lasts for years, so a sale is a smart time to upgrade.
Lodge's enameled Dutch oven is our best value pick, and it landed at the top of the pack in almost every cooking test we ran. It competes with Staub and Le Creuset at a fraction of the cost. The base runs narrow, so you'll want to brown meat in batches. Pumpkin is about as on-theme a color as October gets.

Cast iron is heavy. This HexClad pot is our best lightweight Dutch oven, and it browned meat and baked bread well in our tests. It heats fast and goes in the dishwasher, though it won't build fond the way enameled cast iron does. It's at its lowest price of the year.

Small upgrades around the house make a big difference once the weather turns. Running the heat changes how your home feels, from the air you breathe to how cozy a room gets. And with the holidays coming, an organized kitchen makes the busy season easier.
Once the heat kicks on, indoor air dries out fast. The Classic 300S is the best humidifier we've tested for most people, with high output and quiet operation. Its 6-liter tank fills from the top. Our testing found it does use more energy than some competitors.

In January it's a space heater. In July it's a fan. The HEPA and activated carbon filter keeps working through all of it, and auto mode senses pollutants and ramps up on its own when the air gets worse. Night mode runs on the quietest settings with a dimmed display, and a magnetic remote stores right on top of the tower.
Holiday baking moves faster when the pantry is sorted. This eight-piece POP set comes prelabeled for baking. When we tested a set of OXO POP containers, we found the lids easy to open with one press.
How we choose Prime Day deals
Thousands of products go on sale during Big Deal Days, and sorting the real bargains from the inflated "discounts" can feel like a part-time job. Instead of scrolling endlessly, let us do the digging. Our editors check every deal against its recent price history and lean on years of hands-on product testing. That way, you can stock up on cozy-season favorites, from soft throws to Dutch ovens, without second-guessing your cart.
