Ready to get a head start on the new decade? Pinterest can help with that—at least when it comes to your home. The social media platform recently revealed the top 100 trends of 2020, based on its search data, including everything from fashion to home decor to food. Below are the 7 top home trends you'll likely see everywhere in the new year, and how to incorporate them into your own space.

1. Home theaters

Take your movie watching to the next level.

Your next Netflix binge session is about to get a major upgrade in 2020, as searches for "home theater design" have skyrocketed over 350 percent on Pinterest. While a cozy blanket and popcorn maker are must-haves, the real star of the show is the TV itself. Our experts recommend the LG C9 (which we believe is the best TV because it has an amazing OLED picture, 4K resolution, and tons of great features.

Bonus: If you really want to turn your living room into a movie theater, snag the Anker Nebula Mars II. It's the top portable projector because it flawlessly recreates that big-screen effect you love with the highest quality picture.

2. Meal delivery

Dinner is served!

Meal planning, grocery shopping, prepping, cooking—whipping up a homemade dinner each night can be time-consuming and exhausting. That's why more and more people are using meal delivery apps. And while those are certainly more convenient, another great option (that's almost just as easy) is a meal kit delivery service. Our favorite is Home Chef, which delivers a box of high-quality, fresh ingredients and easy-to-follow recipes right to your doorstep so you can make delicious dishes with minimal effort.

3. Eco-friendly swaps

Reusable everything, please.

Products that are good for your home and for the environment? Win-win. Some popular ways to achieve "low-waste living" (which people are searching for by over 500 percent more than they were last year) include trading out plastic straws for these reusable ones or storing your leftovers in these durable Pyrex containers rather than throwing them out or using plastic. Another easy swap? Choosing an eco-friendly laundry detergent like this one, which even comes in a recyclable bottle.

4. Home exercise

All you have to do is follow along in the Mirror.

Why spend hundreds of dollars a month on pricey gym memberships when you can get just as good of a workout at home? Pinterest found that one of the trendiest ways to do that is with Mirror, a "smart" mirror that projects a workout class onto the glass so you can check your form while you follow along with the instructor. One of our editors tried it for herself and loved that you have access to incredible workouts (everything from pilates to boxing) in the comfort and convenience of your own home.

But you don't have to splurge on Mirror for a solid sweat session. You can find just as good of home gym equipment on Amazon—like these popular non-slip dumbbells or these tough resistance bands to up-level your next bodyweight workout.

5. Audio rooms

Everything sounds better with a Sonos.

Sorry, but the subpar speaker that comes with your TV isn't going to cut it in the new year. With searches for "audio room" up a staggering 803 percent, it's clear that sound quality is more important than ever, whether you're watching Disney+ or listening to your favorite playlist. And for the best audio, we recommend the Sonos Beam, which is the best sound bar we've ever tested, or the Anker Soundcore, which is currently the number one portable speaker.

6. Coffee stations

Brew better java in 2020.

New year, new coffee setup, according to Pinterest. Searches for "home coffee stations" spiked 751 percent this year. To brew the perfect cup of joe, you'll need all the right equipment such as the number one drip coffee maker, which came in first place for taste and efficiency when we tested some of the most popular coffee machines. Another gadget you'll love is this top-rated espresso machine, which makes drinks that rival those of your favorite barista's. Don't forget the smaller accessories, too, like this handheld milk frother for perfect lattes or this expert-approved grinder for the freshest brew.
