Whenever a household product is described as "smart," I suddenly become very skeptical. I've simply been burned by too many "smart" products that offer no truly useful improvements over their "dumb" predecessors.
But Need/Want's Smart Bedding is something different. It forgoes fancy electronics and instead focuses on trying to improve the ergonomics of regular old bedding. To do that, the company designed a top sheet and duvet cover that snap together. This simple improvement means you'll never need to tuck in the top sheet, and it'll never bunch up at the foot of your bed.
The bedding is made from stone-washed French linen, which supposedly makes it softer and more durable than your average cotton bedding. The company won't disclose thread count, but does state that it's a lower thread count than cotton. Still, it claims the linen is softer, thanks to thicker fibers.
Each Complete Bedding Set comes with a flat sheet, fitted sheet, and two pillow cases—all in white—as well as your choice of a colored duvet cover in one of six colors. There are sets available in three sizes—king, queen, full—and they cost $399, $349, and $349, respectively.
It's unclear why the queen and full sets cost the same, but if you're concerned about the price, the company does offer a 100-day return window. It will even give you a full refund, provided the returned bedding is not "soiled or ruined." And of course, it's all machine-washable.
