Earlier today, Samsung debuted its brand new 8800 Series Smart Dial front-load washer and dryer at CES 2021 with the promise that this laundry room duo will make washing and drying clothes an easier, stress-free task.

According to the global home appliance and technology brand, consumers can expect some exciting changes. First up: its AI technology makes the machine much smarter and more efficient through a new control panel featuring its Smart Dial with learned preferred cycles and settings saved as shortcuts; consumers can also manually customize cycle lists.

In a nutshell, Samsung’s AI claims mean that its machines should be able to provide just the right cleaning and drying options for your lifestyle and your laundry. The washer can dispense just the right amount of detergent and even automatically adjust the settings as the cycle continues. The dryer can also detect when clothes are completely dry, rather than leaving the consumer to estimate a cycle time.

What's more, this washer and dryer set can be stacked, if desired. In such an arrangement, attaching one cable allows the consumer to operate the dryer from the washer's control panel, which means the consumer doesn't have to teeter on a stool to operate controls that are out of reach.

Additional features to be excited about includes the Super Speed washing and drying cycles, which Samsung claims will get your clothes both washed and dried in as little as one hour—we can't wait to test this out in our lab. We’re also looking forward to seeing the new technology of the 8800 series in action and if it can perform beyond its impressive user interface.

CES takes place January 11-14, 2021, unveiling a lineup of new technology in appliances, TVs, headphones, air purifiers, and more. Among notable debuts from Samsung include the massive Q950A Dolby Atmos soundbar and customizable Bespoke refrigerator.
